My 9 months old golden retriever is due for tick and fleas meds control , can I just buy it at any Petco store
You can buy those products at Petco for Beaux. I would advise to only purchase Frontline or Advantix. I would not get anything cheaper than that. Be aware that these are still your best over the counter products but fleas are developing immunity to them. In general, the oral products like Simparica and Bravecto are the best. If a UTI has been ruled out by urine culture, then protein losing nephropathy can be suspected as the cause, and an ACEI such as enalapril or benazepril can be used. I believe there is a newer medication on the US market for this purpose in dogs, but I can't remember it now! I just learned about it at a lecture a few months ago. I don't typically treat borderline high BP, but if the PLN is real then the ACEI will certain help lower the BP to decrease protein loss. Beta blockers would be the next step, but I haven't needed to use them personally. My 6 lb yorkie ate 5 mg Benazepril that was intended for my bison who is 25 pounds. Will that hurt her?
Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. At the high end of the dose range for Benazepril, Maui's dose would be about 13.6mg so she has not had a toxic dose. You may see symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, weakness, etc. If you see these symptoms, I would get her in to be seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible. You would need a current prescription from a veterinarian who has physically examined Duke. You can then place your order and submit the prescription. The pharmacy will then contact the veterinarian or clinic to confirm the prescription then fill the order.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! Seems like you are doing a very good job. You can use the Benadryl on an as needed basis. Fish oil helps quite a bit with skin issues so I think that would be a good idea. You can get the veterinary commercial fish oil you can buy online or at your local pet store.
