You will need to have flavored medications made at a special pharmacy called a compounding pharmacy. Your vet may know of a local compounding pharmacy that may make flavored medications, so I would check with them. If they do not have a suggestion, I have been very pleased with Road Runner Pharmacy ( https://www.roadrunnerpharmacy.com/ ). Good luck! I hope that was helpful and answered your question. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

I am sorry to hear about your kitty! Some of the most commonly used drugs to treat psychogenic alopecia in kitties include fluoxetine, amitryptylline, and clomipramine. We may sometimes use a supplement called Zylkene as well which can help decrease anxiety in some cats. True cases of psychogenic alopecia, however, are rare. It is much more common to have hair loss due to a skin disease/itching. If your vet hasn't done testing yet to ensure there isn't a cause for itching then I would consider this, or a referral to a veterinary dermatologist. You can read more about this condition and the possible causes/testing at http://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&S=0&C=0&A=2565.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! While it is not ideal to do that, if she has been getting that medication for a good bit now, doing it once daily instead of twice daily for 1 day should not affect things much. Have a good night!

Thank you for using Boop by Petco. Zentel is listed as a human albendazole product. If this is the medication that you gave your cat, I recommend a visit to the vet asap as cats can be very sensitive to albendazole, it is not a medication typically used in cats.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Colby Jack. There is an not an effective over-the-counter treatment for this disease. Hyperthyroidism in cats is most commonly treated with a prescription medication. Blood work needs to be carefully monitored though. Owners who are searching for a permanent resolution of the disease can pursue radioactive iodine therapy. Finally, there is a prescription diet available from Hill's that can control the disease as long as the cat eats this particular diet exclusively. I hope this information helps!
