My vet does not administer Adequan in the muscle, but instead just under the skin. Is the effectiveness of Adequan compromised?
Hello! I am starting my dog on Adequan today. My vet said the injection is subcutaneous but the packaging Adequan came in and the material on Adequans website also says it should be administered IM. I'm looking for a second opinion here, does Subcutaneous injection not work?
Is it OK to give my dog Adequan 1 month after the vial says it has expired?
My senior pitizen Scrappy has been on arthritis therapy including Deramaxx, tramadol and gabapentin for a year now and today we are adding Adequan. I wanted to get a second opinion on whether the combination is safe? Im not really worried about Tramadol and gabapentin, it's the combination of Deramaxx and Adequan both being NSAIDs that I was a bit reluctant on - is it typically safe to administer both?
Wondering about the equine joint supplement lubrigen is it good bad is it tested
My buddy is a senior of 13 who has been battling arthritis in his hind legs with Deramaxx, Gabapentin and Tramadol at various points. Recently they aren't doing as much to help him as when he started, and I'd like to try Adequan but am unable to bring him to our vet twice weekly for injections - is there any other form Adequan can be prescribed in besides injections? Or can it be prescribed for me to administer the injections at home? My wife is an RN so she knows her way around syringes.
My dog is starting his 3rd week of Adequan injections SubQ. I know the cycle is usually 2 injections per week for the first 4 weeks, but what after that? I know usually it's 1 per month as a booster, but in severe cases CAN we extend the twice weekly injections or is that harmful?
How much Safeguard Equine paste can be given to Bloodhound puppies 8 wks old and weighing 10-15 lbs for parasites. I have given it to older puppies for 3 days in a row. Worked great.
My dog has lost a bunch of weight I think because of worms is it safe to give him safe-guard equine horse dewormer he's about 3-4years old & weighs about 70 lbs he's a lab & pit mix I do believe
Can I give my dog a double dose of Adequan - 1 full dose in each hip? Or, should I only give a 1/2 dose in each hip? He seems to have had a major arthritis flare-up. He is taking Boswellia twice a day & 150 mg of Novox (when needed). I'm thinking of increasing the Boswellia, but I don't like giving Novox unless I have to. His arthritis is managed via acupuncture & laser therapy. Thanks!
My 11 yr old beagle has started scooting herself to get where she wants to go instead of using her back legs for about a month now. Our Vet started her on Adequan injections, 1 per week for 4 wks then 1x a month. He said we should see a big difference by the 3rd or 4th shot. She's had 4 so far and there is absolutely NO difference.. Should we look to euthanasia? I dont want to see her suffer.
Hello. I have a Standardbred mare, age 30, currently on SMZ's until Monday 15 April. The 4 way vaccination(Eastern and Western equine encephalomyelitis, influenza due to type A2 (Kentucky '97) is due to be given this Friday 12 April. Can I safely vaccinate the horse while on SMZ's?
