ACANA Jerky Dog Treats

Hello my cat is not well. I was feeding her Acana Wild Prairie...and i switched foods to another...that she would not eat. At first I thought she was just being fussy (she is a cat). But then she stopped eating anything. I went out and bought her Acana Wild Prairie again, and as soon as I got home she ate a bunch. About 10 mins later she puked it all up. Since then she has only been eating very smalll amounts of anything. She also has been sick about 6 times in the last week. He

Recently rescued a 4 year old female French bulldog who came to us eating Acana dry dog food. Began mixing with Whole Earth dry dog food and is now eating WE 100%, twice daily. She was spayed mid last week. For the last few days, she has pooped 5-6 times daily --solid, not runny. ???

Is a high quality kibble bad for my dog? I've been told that I should only feed fresh food and that kibble is poor quality nutrition. I've always used top quality brands such as Acana Orijen and Fromm. Is what I'm doing healthy? I think raw and home cooked are great but it's very expensive and hard to properly balance the diet. Thanks!

My dog does exceptionally well on Natural Balance L.I.D. Small breed bites, is this a high quality brand, or are brands like Fromm and Acana better? She has the best stool on the Natural Balance for whatever reason. Is it ok to just stick with that brand? The darker colored stools are from Natural Balance. The middle one is on Fromm I believe. I have a lhasa terrier mix pup and she is 4 months old, she eats everything except her dog food i have tried so many brands from acana, royal canin to pedigree but she refuses to eat. I'm not sure whether she gets proper nutrition from homly food so i want her to eat dry food, is there anything that I can do.

Why do most vets recommend Hills science diet or Royal canin, Etc? I've always looked at the Ingredients in these brands and thought they were poor. How is corn, wheat, soy and by products good for dogs? When you compare them to Orijen, Acana and Fromm doesn't the ingredients seem of better quality? Am I missing something? can you explain why the previous brands are good quality? I'm just curious to know. Thanks!

This question is for David Elebeze. Recent studies have suggested that boutique and grain free diets and been linked to DCM in certain dogs. Ingredients such as peas, lentils and beans are being blamed for taurine deficiencies in particular dogs. Acana singles was mentioned in the study and how a number of dogs that were fed this diet developed DCM. My breed in particular is prone to heart issues, what should I do to insure my dog doesn't develop any problems?

My dog has been having anal gland leakage for almost a year on and off, we take him to the vet and our groomer to get his expressed, but even a week after he still has small amounts of leakage around the house, all our vet says is it is normal, but I do not want to deal with this for the rest of his life, he is only 2. We use pumpkin in his food and use acana ranchland, some days he has big stools but should we see another vet or stuff we can do at home?
