How do you install it? Does it twist into the ground or do you need a hammer?

  1. You use a rubber mallet to hammer/push it in. It’s easy to do and very secure. This is the second one I’ve purchased. I love it.

Does this stake work in sand?

  1. Yes I believe it should just once you put it in give it up good job to make sure it’s secure but I honestly believe it should work.

How tall is the stake, once it is set up? I have a firepit that my dogs like to run around (roughly 2 feet high) and I don't want their tether getting stuck on the rocks.

  1. When the stake is in the ground only an inch our two sit above the ground. I don’t think for your use this product would work as you would like it to for your situation with a 2 foot firepit. There is a product we carry by Tumbo that is a tie-out Zipline that may work for you in this case: https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/tumbo-anti-shock-trolley-dog-tie-out-zipline Thanks,

Does this stake need to be taken out of the before cutting grass?

  1. No!  I mow right around it.

Whats the easiest way to remove this  thing? Im not mad, because it’s definitely doing its job, but i need to move it...

Can two dogs, 35 lbs total wt, be tied to this?

    1. It would be extremely difficult there is only room for one cable clip on the tether. Aside from that it’s cheaply made and I’m not sure it’s guaranteed to stand up to pulling from opposite directions.
