A year ago, I adopted a golden retriever puppy who was 14 weeks. He was once able to slip this on over his head. Now he gets his mouth in it and runs all over the house and wants to play tug. The darker ends are beginning to fray but it still is holding up. My GR destroys everything. I bought the Mega Octopus rated 10 and that didn't last a day. This however, is great. I'd buy this again in another color but I got a good price on this last year and now it is much too expensive.

My dogs are pretty hardcore chewers and players and with the rep this toy seemed to have, I had high expectations. Yeah, I think it lasted maybe three days. Now, at this point, we didn't have dogs in their prime destruction phase. One dog was only around four months old and our other dog was eight years old. Tough toys never seem to live up to their rep so I can't say I was super shocked or anything.

Purchased this for a puppy Golden Retriever and had this for 6 weeks. All is okay except the threading is loose. Hope this toy has been threaded numerous times. I am also wondering if some of the dog owners have purchased the smaller Blue Ring and writing their reviews under the wrong product? My dog is probably about 38 lbs now and isn't ripping it apart in an hour. I would also say the labeling is misleading because this is not the toughest toy but perhaps the toughest toy that Tuffy's Toys makes. I included a picture of what my dog continually does with this toy. He is able to remove it as well. I don't leave him alone with this toy...until it doesn't fit over his head.

This toy has a 10 rating which is supposed to be the toughest grade according to the manufacturer but within one hour, my dog (35 lb Terrier/Lab mix) has managed to do major damage to the outside stitching. STAY AWAY!!

I had to see it to believe it. My 8 mos old Aussie has destroyed every toy, plastic, bone we've given him and in a matter of 1-2 days. So far this Tuffy Mega Ring has held up for a week now. He's only been able to make a few shreds around the outer stitch. He has not penetrated the main fluffy pillow part. I'm even able to play tug'o'war with him with it. Very durable indeed!

My dog is a heavy chewer/biter and usually goes through squeaky toys in a day or two. The ring is lasting well and keeps my dog entertained.

My one-year-old 100 lb. GS loves to chew the ring and hear the squeaks of this toy. He has not torn it up since it is super sturdy. He also likes to play fetch with it too!
