Premium Chopped Alfalfa is manufactured by cutting Standlee forage into approximately 2-4" pieces. A small amount of canola oil is added to the chopped forage to control any potential dust. Recommended For: Growing (rapid growth) and underweight horses, horses with sensitivity to carbohydrates, horses with gastric ulcers and late pregnancy and lactating mares.

  • - Low in sugar/starch
  • - Natural forage length mimics grazing
  • - Slow intake, stimulates chewing and minimizes digestive upset
  • - Easy to feed and store

Disappointed horse

This big box corp preemptively bought up all the supply, contributed to the shortage, let it rot on the shelf and grow mold, then shipped it out when no one else has it. I will never buy a product from this business until the day I die.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Great product but both bags were open and taped closed with potential for water damage and mold

Love the chopped alfalfa!

I have used all three versions of alfalfa, Timothy and Orchard grass for almost 7 yrs to supplement my goats diet. Depending on the 50 lb bail the goats would leave anywhere from 20% to 50% of the alfalfa in the feeders. Not the products fault just that goats could not chew course stalks. This week I discovered the chopped version and not only do the goats love it I’m getting 98% consumption. A perfect product for my animals. Greatly appreciated.

Great way to get extra water into your horses. Just soak a few minutes and feed. It also works great for older horses that have trouble eating grass.

I buy this for my senior horse that can’t eat regular baled hay. He loves it and it’s part of his daily diet. The other horses love it for a treat.
