I have the Fusion 700 (6 watts) - I think watts is best way to compare capacity across brands and models, not perfect, but best available. The turn down knob covers a large range and really reduces the noise. Cut all the way back, my Fusion 700 fills a single UGF lift tube with a light to medium stream of bubbles, so in the range of 1/6th of it's capacity?

I would imagine the standard size airline tubing would fit all the models. I am not aware that there is different sizes

Combine Shed X with some allergy tablets the ones from petco are really good and super cheap! and try changing there food to grain free one having fish in it like salmon would be great, this should help that bald spot grow some hair worked for my dog.

Fusion 700 is 6 watts. Manufacturers play games with the Liters per minute at different resistance head pressures, so I would recommend comparing by electrical watts to see the "work" capacity. This website shows the Fusion 700 at 5.6 L/min which I think is accurate at normal resistance levels. Reputable sellers tend to list L/min values that are similar in value to the watts pulled for these smaller air pumps (6 watts = about 6 L/min). I own Whisper 10, 150, 300, Eheim 400, and Fusion 700. At 50% reduced flow the Fusion 700 is same or quieter than Whisper 150, but less flow. The quietest of all of them by far is the Eheim 400 (4 watts) even at full capacity. Comparing the flow rate on all of them vs manufacturer claims, I think watts is the best way to compare capacity. Whisper 10 rated at 1.5 watts, Whisper 150 rated at 3.5 Watts, Fusion 700 rated at 6 watts,Whisper 300 rated at 7.5 watts. If quiet is important, buy 2x or 3x bigger than what you need and a brand with the adjustable option and turn down flow. Danner, Fusion, Eheim are adjustable. Eheim is expensive but worth it if you want near silent (see youtube). Even at full flow, Eheim 400 is the quietest air pump I have found, and then adjustment down makes it even quieter. Make sure you look at maximum resistance pressure ability of the pump to match your conditions (measured in feet or inches of water, since psi is considered too large of range for these small air pumps). 22 kPA = 3.19 psi = 7.37 feet of water deep
