What can give dog for pain
What is the percentage of dogs that have experienced renal injury from taking Carprofen and Benazepril daily. My 85lb Golden/Lab mix, Buddy, has been using Carprofen for 5 years due to arthritic pain. Recently our Vet after extensive testing has determined Buddy is losing protein through his kidneys and has prescribed 20mg of Benazepril 2x per day. Your site and PetMD.com both state there may be Drug interaction. If OK to continue do you think Benazapril is better with or without food. Opinion?
The vet gave me a prescription for rimadyl because manski had some stiffness in his hips and I noticed him moving slower. I cannot continue this pain medication due to the cost so my question is, the supplement cosequin that addresses arthritis and joint pain would that be a good alternative and I can afford that

Is it safe to give my dog a carprofen tablet? It was prescribed a while ago for stiff joints and I didn't give her any. She has an upset stomach (had the runs) and seems to have tummy pain.
My dog weighs 48 lbs and my vet prescribed her 100 mg Rimadyl TWICE a day for hip dysplasia and arthritis pain. I’ve only given her one pill this evening but worried about giving another in the morning. Isn’t that twice the recommended dose for her weight? I’m concerned about toxicity. Thanks for your advice.
i gave my dog a 100mg tab of vetprofen. My vet did some dental work and told me to give him half a tab. Is this a major problem????????
