My 3 year old male cat 12-13 lbs and healthy. I feed him wet canned food, approx. 1.5 oz 3 times a day. I also leave dry food out for him. He devours the cat food fresh from the can in the morning, but tends toward the dry food as the day goes on. He does not show much interest in the "old" canned food which may have been refrigerated for 6-10 hours. Long story not so short. What dry food do you recommend?
My male cat has to get off of orijen and should only eat a wet food to prevent urinary blockage and promote urinary health. The vet recommended s/d feline but are there other canned wet food brands that are good for preventing urinary issues and crystal that do not have wheat, corn, soy or by products? And what is the daily serving of wet food for a 12 lb cat?
My vet has prescribed to may cat Royal canin SO (as he had Urinary disease). However, I read its ingredients, it contains lots of grain and carbs, meat quality and content are also very dubious (probably 4D meats). Are there any alternatives against urinary disease, but grain-free, low carbs and good meat?
Cat food for heart health containing taurine
My cat was diagnosed with pancreatitis. We completed allergy testing per our vet's suggestion. He is allergic to pork, tomatoes, green peas, turkey, and corn. We have switched out all of his food. It took me the longest time to find a dry food he could eat (he eats dry and canned food). I finally found one that does not have his allergens and he likes it. But he is throwing up a lot again. Are cranberries bad for pancreatitis? They were not in the tested foods.
What brand of dry food do you recommend/ what do you feed your cat(s) my 3 eat moist n just get a tad dry with wet n a little in bowl at night while i sleep. Cats are btwn 3 &5 n indoor only. Thank you.
