The PetSafe Peek-a-Bird Electronic Cat Toy allows your cat to go wild for fluttering feathers giving them hours of enticing playtime. With two different modes, the Peek-a-Bird will engage your cat and keep her entertained throughout the day. In One-Time-Play mode, the toy will play for 10 minutes and then turn off automatically to conserve battery life. In Play-All-Day mode, the toy will play for 10 minutes, then rest for 2 hours before it begins again. During the 2-hour rest period, if the motion sensor picks up movement from your cat it will automatically begin to play again. These automatic play sessions keep your cat entertained all day while you are away. The toy comes with one installed teaser feather and a replacement feather to allow your cat to enjoy the thrill of the hunt. Fun for cats and dogs!
The pets were very cautious and then curious and finally excited with this tiy and its bird sounds and moving feather!

love to watch him play
My 10 month old kitten , loves this toy. I use the 10 minute mode. But I push that button 3 or 4 times before he gets bored. And he has had it for over a week and a half. Has yet to tire of it.
It goes in and out on different sides, and is intermittent, so he doesn't know when the feather will come out or out of which slot it will come. I get a kick of watching him play with it.
My old cat doesn't show too much interest, but he never was big on toys. And he is slowing down now that he is 15.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Peaks my cat's interest for 2 minutes, but then afterwards he just walks away. I think it doesn't interest my cat because the movement of the yellow feather is very limited and predictable. He doesn't seem to see is as prey.

Pretty solid toy
One of my cats loves this toy. Being able to set it to run occasionally during the day is great. The feathers do get shredded but are replaceable. You could probably even just buy some small feathers and tape them on if you are having trouble finding replacements, get creative. The toy seems like it's well made and sturdy. Probably one of the more sturdy cat toys I've purchased.
Cat toys are hit or miss with our crazy cats. One of my cats will play with just about anything, while another has no interest in electronic toys.
I would recommend this if your cat has shown interest in similar toys, or if you aren't sure I'd give it a shot.

Cat just looks at it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an amazing idea in theory. Turn it on and let the cats play. We’ll both my kitten and adult cat just stare at it with not a whole lot of interest. They don’t chase it or anything, but it keeps their attention.

Going to be returning it. Could have created something better myself at home for much cheaper. Not worth the money.

Cat loved the toy
My cats loved the toy, but broke off both of the feathers within 2 weeks and replacements are not available. So basically a very expensive cat toy that lasted two weeks

All of my cats are interested
Nice toy: 2 of my cats actively chase the feather, one is only interested in the chirping noise, the 4th will not directly interact with feather but will observe the toy when active.

How do u attach the replacement feather
- Thank you for your great question. To remove the old feather, press in on the plastic piece and turn it anticlockwise to remove. You can then put in the new feather in the empty slot. I know it comes with one feather plus one replacement but can you buy extra replacements from when those two feathers are gonzo?
