I saw some fleas on my cat, and used a flea collar on her for the past month or two. They didn’t go away, and so I bathed her in a tick shampoo I bought. It said that it was ‘for cats and dogs’, but by the time I smelled the peppermint oil it was already on her. I washed it off as thoroughly as I could and dried her as well as possible to prevent her from trying to lick herself as much. I checked the ingredients, and it absolutely is in there. What should I do?
I bought this flea medicine for my two adult cats(Name:PetArmor). One of them is a female cat and she just had kittens, They are about five weeks old. If I apply the medicine exactly as directed will the kittens be affected or have a bad reaction from being all over her and licking her while the medicine is applied?
We washed our cats with flea and tick treatment Monday 2 times to get rid of them. That night we gave them pet armor plus. Thurs as we comb them they still have tons of more fleas now. They were jumping and saw about 13. We stopped combing so more wouldn't come out. I was thinking of putting a color on her but not sure if that is bad double medicating her. We washed her again with dawn soap. What should I do?
What are the best flea and tick medication for our 16 pound mixed breed cat? Thank you!
my cat has fleas, and he also has flea allergy dermatitis. i don’t want to put topical treatment on him because of the location of his sores, so i need to give him a flea bath but i don’t know what shampoo is safe to use on cats with dermatitis. i essentially need recommendations for flea shampoo for cats with sensitive skin. does such a thing exist?
Help! My large bengal tabby mix has fleas. I’ve given him baths with both dawn and Sentry pet shampoo as well as given him a dose of Hartz flea and tick preventative. While those methods are working well for the other five cats in the house, the bengal mix is still having issues. I’m working with a severe budget but I also want my cat to be flea free! Any advice would help a lot.
One of our cats has fleas (both do obviously, but one has more than the other) and we’re trying to figure out what to do since we used Sentry Purrscriptions Plus on them, and it hasn’t been effective. We don’t want to combine medications and make them sick, but also don’t want them to have fleas for a month. Right now on hand (we’re in a part of the US that is currently experiencing high floodings - flooded in with fleas! Yay!) we have Hartz flea collars and normal pet shampoo.
Ive used the Hartz Ultra Guard PRO flea drops (starting killing fleas in 15 min) and they have Hartz Ultra Guard Plus flea collars. I can still see fleas that seem to be hanging on the the belly area of my cats. I have 3, Two are orange/white... so the fleas are easy to see. I don't think it would be safe to get flea shampoo at this time. Can I use Dawn soap to get the fleas hiding where the medicine is not reaching? I have treated the house, but I'm not sure what else to try at this time..
I used petarmour plus on my 12 pound puppy....I used the 4-22 lb dose and I bombed my home.....he s till has fleas...what do I do
Hello, I have a 10 week old kitten she is 2.5 pounds. She ended up with fleas and I am having a hard time getting rid of them. I use natural chemistry shampoo and flea spray but i found more on her this morning. What should I use? I also have 2 small children at home. I also need a safe spray for my house as well
Hi! We used frontline plus about five days ago on our cat and today we used sergeants gold flea and tick shampoo. Was this too close together? Should we rinse her with dawn?
Just discovered my cats have fleas. What (if any) OTC flea remedy will take care of this issue, or do I need a Pet RX?
