Should senior cat visits to the vet include any suggested lab tests for baseline status?
Hello my 10 year old cat went to vet for her 6 mth Checkup and her doctor did labwork but not a full senior panel.. just a post methimazole panel which I believe she said shows thyroid and kidney values. Is this correct and does this lesser blood panel show any other values besides those that I mentioned? Thx!!
mixed breed, Maine coon /tabby. health insurance is recommended for specific breeds of cats? Which company offers insurance for cats that go through the state system.rescued by humane society and neutered before the correct time. But no record of any illness/dieses/Heath issues at the time of adoption. would she be rejected from companies Since she doesn't have papers from birth. Bottom line being a orphan and going through the state system Would that exempt her from getting a good policy
Hi I've had my cat blood test and x-rayed. And the vet had determined no disease or illness. I'm skeptical
Could someone give me insight on this bloodwork? Just adopted 14 year old pyr mix. Had never been to the vet before, so no previous history. Dewormed, vaccinated, and neutered at the shelter on 2/1. Problems so far: underweight, skin infection, ear infection, arthritic, deaf, several growths that haven't yet been aspirated, severe dental disease, etc. Brought him to the vet where I work and ran bloodwork but haven't had a doctor interpret it yet.
What breed is my dog any help and how do I find out because I want to know so I can be aware of any health problems I already know he’s chow chow and the owners who I got him from said he’s half chow and half catahoula which I don’t see I only see the chow chow and kit of dna test that are good
I took genSol test for my pup, and he got C in this two field: CHONDRODYSTROPHY AND IVDD RISK (CDDY-IVDD) and CHONDRODYSPLASIA (CDPA). What part of his body will be affected or at risk? What should I do now?
My dog has a blood report done . please tell me what does it mean.and also attaching his akin disease photo for which this test was done.
5 month old kitten has kidney failure .. do you want the blood tests
Hello, I would like a second opinion on my cat's bloodwork. Is it indicative of renal disease? He is 13 year-old. Thank you for your time.
Our adult cat jus tested positive for FCoV (blood test), after no exposure to another cat for a year. Last year, our new kitten died, after 2 weeks in our home. He seemed healthy, but was put down after uncontrollable seizures. Should we get this replacement kitten? Is there a better test to assess risk? If the virus came from the breeder’s home, could our adult cat develop FIP, with new exposure? We are sad to think we might not get the kitten, but don’t want heartache again. Thank you.
When should you get your cats bloodwork done?
