Great for CKD cats

graylove

My 16 year old girl now has stage 1 Kidney disease. The renal prescription food is so awful for them, terrible by product ingredients etc. She LOVES this food and now it is hard to find. I really hope Castor & Pollux continue to make this recipe as there are not many renal non-prescription foods out there. This one fills a empty niche in the cat food arena. I hope someone in corporate is paying attention. PLEASE BRING IT BACK!

Don't get me wrong, I was really glad to find this *somewhere* because it seems to be out of stock everywhere else right now. I have a CKD cat who's tired of her prescription diet and this is something she liked a couple of years ago that isn't too bad for her condition (not as bad as others) and I desperately needed it as an option to keep her eating. Now that it's finally here the sticker on the case says "Best by Oct 2021." That was four months ago. It's canned, it's probably still fine, but this is frustrating because it at least tells me they're probably not getting new cases in stock and I might not find it again. I hope this comes back in stock for real before I run out because I don't know what else to do.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Perfect for upset cat tummies and he loves it too!

My cat has IBS and occassionally goes through bouts where he can keep his dry food down. When this happens we need to give him something plain and when we found this wet food it was perfect. The vet recommended a plain turkey/chicken and rice pate and this is the only product we have found on the market. We love it and the cat does too.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great for my senior kitty!

I've been looking for a low phosphorus (0.66%), low protein (34.61%), and high fiber (6.38%) food for quite some time for my 14 year old kitty who has CKD. This has been a great option for us, because she loves the taste! I end up adding a little unflavored Pedialyte for extra hydration and she devours it! I have always fed her a grain free diet before, but she doesn't appear to have a problem with this high quality brown rice grain. All is good!

Good food with grain filler

Not their favorite flavor, but good quality food. Color is odd, kind of on the gray side, so not too appealing visually, but color isn't a qualifier for cats.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Good high calorie, Low phosphorous food.

I love the fact that this food is high calorie, and one of the few low phosphorus foods out there. My boy at about 3 cans very well, but now he will not eat it anymore. Thankfully we have another cat that will eat anything yet!

Yes, I recommend this product.
