This supposedly "Ultimate Protein" Recipe is *exactly* the same as the Original Chicken Recipe - same exact caloric content (1,540 kcal/kg), same exact nutritional breakdown (both have 10% Crude Protein), same exact ingredients list. They've just slapped the exact same food with different branding and upcharge for the name change, but there doesn't seem to be any identifiable differences between the two formulas.

Our Original and Ultimate Protein cans for cats do share the same recipe. We have many Ultimate Protein kibble feeders who were wanting an easy way to identify a wet food that best matched their dry diet, so the label difference just makes it easier for those consumers to identify a suitable wet food to feed along with their dry food. As far as the price, it can sometimes fluctuate based on the retailer, so we would recommend purchasing whichever label is available and at a better price at the time.

Bella needs to eat high protein food and she does like this one that has alot of moisture so it doesn't seem like she's eating paste. I keep the base the chicken and add a little topper to that in different flavors. She's eating now which she wasn't doing before so it's a plus.

I have gone thru zillions of wet cat foods, and maybe one out of the three cats would eat it. FINALLY, I tried Instinct Ultimate Protein chicken pate wet cat food. And ALL 3 are EATING it. Yea ! Tonight, I signed up for Auto-Ship from a pet company, and am so excited, because it is like a weight has been removed from my shoulders. NOW, if I can find a dry food to give in addition.

I began feeding this to my Bengal kitten, and he immediately liked it and is gaining a healthy amount of weight. This was the most affordable, grain-free, protein packed option I could find vs. fresh ground chicken or beef. I still add some nutrient powder to make sure he's getting all the nutrients he needs, but regardless still a great option

This is a quality food that my cat likes a lot, but it is exactly the same food as the Instinct Original for a few dollars more. Ingredients are the same, in the same order and the analysis is identical. Save a few bucks and get the original.

There is far too much water weight in this food, as is the case lately with all their wet foot products that I have purchased. Also my cats do not care for the filler product(peas/carrots) in their food. I have to pick them out one by one. I am considering changing to a different product.

What is being done about your poor packing methods and the resultant severely dented cans? We have our food shipped and I do not trust that your will get the canned food here intact.

I am also an Instinct customer that has had trouble with dented cans. I really believe we need to address this question directly to the company. It doesn't seem to make any difference what retailer you buy it from, the cans still arrive dented. That's a manufacturer issue.
