My kitten's lower mouth is been really red/swollen on and off for months. I've changed her porcelain bowls to stainless steel bowls. My vet thought it might've been the food but I tried switching her to Nature's Balance but she didn't really like it. Previously she was eating Blue Buffalo wilderness kitten food and current she's eating Purina cat chow. Mold mites or bird mites? They where crawling on the glass of my wildbird food feeder, and the food has a little bit of mold in it. But I want to know what they are so I don't make my cat sick cleaning it out. Poured white vinegar in there for now.
My 2 year old Catahoula weighs 75 lbs and eats Purina Beniful Originals. I feed him 2 cups of food at 6pm everyday. Is this ok? Should I he feeding him more or less at a time? Should I feed him more times a day?
I found him on a vacant lot and had to bottle feed him for about two weeks. He's now about 8 weeks old and already eating solids, but he hasn't learned to drink from a bowl. I tried using bowls of different sizes, put water on the ground, wet his lips, placed him next to a faucet, etc, but he still won't drink. By night, he's so thirsty that he'll suck at my fingers, I'll end up giving him the bottle. He has no issues eating food mixed with water, but how can I get him to drink from a bowl?
