Description

Please note that the product information displayed is provided by manufacturers, suppliers and other third parties and is not independently verified by Petco.

This hay is made from sun-cured timothy hay that's cut straight from the bale, so you know it's fresh and nutritious. Plus, it peels off in layers which makes it super easy to feed to your little ones.

  • - It's all-natural and chemical-free! No funky stuff in here, just pure and wholesome goodness.
  • - Say goodbye to artificial preservatives because this hay doesn't have any! What you see is what you get.
  • - Did you know that rabbit bedding can be dangerous for your furry friend? Not to worry though, because this hay is much safer for them to chew on.
  • - Lower in calcium than other types of hay, so you don't have to worry about overloading your pet with too much of a good thing.
  • - A satisfying addition to your pet's daily feeding program that they'll love munching on throughout the day.
  • - With 60 oz of hay in one bag, you won't have to worry about running out anytime soon!

Good product when it isn’t old and moldy

I’ve purchased this a few times - this time I ordered it through the app, and while it was easy and pickup was great - the hay was moldy and smelled like ammonia. Had to return it as I couldn’t feed it to my small animals. The return was easy, except I used a rewards coupon at purchase which didn’t automatically get credited back so I have to call customer service. I’m happy to change my review when the product I get returns to the quality I’m used to.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Have you found any bugs in the grass

  1. No I have not but there are bugs that can't be seen by the human eye..... but never seen any

how much does dis last for 1 piggy

  1. I clean Oscar's cage on Sundays and I put a 1/4 of it. So, I might last a month for one piggy. I do add about a hand of hay three days later and one more time on Sat., if it is too low.

Why doesn't this advertise No Pesticides or Herbicides? I am concerned about herbicides used to cleanup competing weeds.

  1. Hi there! Our hay does not use pesticides or herbicides.

Can it be used with chinchillas?

  1. Yes! I used to use this kind of hay when I had a chinchilla and he loved it!

How many uses can you get from a bag?

  1. A bag usually lasts us about a week. We have 3 buns!

Can you have it for ferrets?

  1. I don't have ferrets, but if hay is suitable for ferrets, this one is just okay. I switched to Oxbow hay because the Kaytee Timothy hay contained to much straw my guinea pigs wouldn't eat.

does it contain pesticides

  1. No, this does not contain pesticides.

  1. Rabbits and guinea pigs can have unlimited amounts of hay. To complete your small animal's diet, feed Kaytee’s nutritionally fortified daily diets such as exact®, Forti-Diet® or Fiesta®.

What does 'Wafer Cut' mean?

  1. The pieces are cut in about 6" pieces, which are so much easier to handle than regular cuts of hay. I recommend it!
