Great View

I was worried about the quailty due to the lightweight feel of this camera. But was pleasantly surprised for the price and the quality of the image that it takes. Quick to download the app and set it up. I found that manual set up was far easier. Crystal clear imaging, no blurry faces. Great way to watch your pets and family for that peace of mind. App is easy to navigate, record or take photos of necessary events even store on cloud. I would prefer a long cord but easy to go out a buy one that fits my needs.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Awful Confusing Piece of Technology

Let me start by saying I am a very tech savvy person. I really thought it would be a cinch to hook this up and start using it. However I couldn’t figure out why it wasnt working. Then I realized that it doesn’t operate on a normal WiFi bandwidth and that I would have to change the bandwidth on my router before I could use it. The explanation on how to change the bandwidth was a hodgepodge of confusing jargon that I couldn’t follow. The fact that in 2025 I would have to start messing with my router and find passwords and change WiFi bandwidths to accommodate a simple pet camera is beyond absurd to me. My advice is to steer clear of this camera and just buy a pet camera that works with every standard WiFi bandwidth that you can simply plug in and use right away like just about every other piece of technology in 2025.

Phone app could not locate device

I wanted to really test out this little camera in low lighting to watch one of my litterbox areas, but unfortunately I could never get it to show up on my phone through the app that you have to download to use it. Went through their website support and tried for around 30 minutes before I eventually called it quits. The other thing with this camera is that the included power cord is ridiculously short - this is something that can be fixed with a generic USB cord, but it was difficult to find a suitable spot to put it where I had an outlet nearby. That being said, it is incredibly lightweight and small, and does include the hardware to wall mount it if you desire.

Good camera, clear picture

I set this camera up after my zebra finches had a baby so that I could keep an eye on them when not around. The picture was clear, and the camera has good features like flipping the view, motion detection and being able to speak through it which would be great for other pets like cats and dogs. It was easy to set up, the only thing I didn't like was the short cord and how lightweight the camera is(which is great if you want to mount to the wall, but I switched to a longer cord that I had and it was hard to keep the camera in the exact spot that I wanted because the cord tugged at it). Overall, it works well and I would definitely use it more often but I am home most of the time. If the time ever comes again that one of my animals needs to be watched more or I'm not home as much, I look forward to using this camera again.

Excellent Camera!

The Geeni GLIMPSE HD 1080p Smart Wi-Fi Indoor Security Camera has proven to be a fantastic device for keeping up with what my pet is up to at home. I found it very easy to set up using an app and my wifi. The images are high quality, I get notified when my pet is moving around and the best part is that I can communicate with my cats so they don't feel so alone when I'm not around. I definitely recommend this product to others.

Cute camera

I can say about this camera is that the size is perfect to put it anywhere, it is easy to configure and since this camera is HD 1080 the image quality is good. The only negative thing I can say about this camera is that it does not stay on 24/7 the reason I do not know, but from there everything is fine with this camera. In addition, one of its features is to detect motion, it has an alarm and I can insert a MicroSD card to record. I can also say that you do not need to pay a subscription to be able to record 24/7, it works with Hey Google and with Alexa, it does not require a Hub to work, just your home WiFi. You have to download the Geenie application to be able to use it on your cell phone and you can view it at any time and from anywhere. You'll receive notifications in real time of the camera through the geeni application in your phone. I recommend this product.

Easy and good quality

So far, I only have positive feedback. The camera is easy to set up, easy to work with, and easy to navigate. The images are clear and adjusts from color during daylight and to back and white at night time. I haven't mounted it yet. It's propped up on a table next to my dogs bed. I plan to mount it up on the wall so I have a wider view of him and his surroundings.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Both Pros and Cons, but generally handy

Camera arrived just before I left on a trip. Initial setup was easy enough. I liked that there is the ability to add a micro sd card (separate purchase) for storage vs subscribing to their cloud service. I must have read that the max format is 128GB because that is the size card I then ordered. When the card arrived my daughter slipped it into the camera. (I used the app to configured it to Continuous Recording.) So along with the Live feed, I was also able to watch recorded playback while I was away. Camera’s picture is clear even in low light. Wide angle of view is good. It picks up and plays sound quite clearly as well. My opinion of the app is a bit mixed. On the flip side (- Speaking through camera vs Listening through camera), there is a “Press & Hold to speak” option which I was never able to get to work while I was away. I kept getting a Timeout, Failed to Transmit message. The other thing that I had trouble with was the Motion Detection Schedule. It seemed straight forward enough - set the time you want it to turn On - set the time you want it to turn Off. So I set it to turn On late at night and to turn Off early in the morning — and then was constantly bombarded with Motion Detected notifications to my phone throughout the window of time that it was supposed to be Off (- pets and people set it off all day long). I frustratingly fought with it remotely for several days. I’m not sure what combination of deleting, rebuilding, reloading finally worked but the motion detection does seem to now be working as programmed. As cameras go, it’s handy for checking on pets or whoever happens to be hanging out in the room it is watching.

No, I do not recommend this product.
