Post-op Maine Coon

Maine Mountain Man

I bought this, at an incredible price online, for our sick kitty who just came home from serious surgeries. The vet did not tell us ahead of time we would need to keep her caged so she wouldn't be too physical, like running and jumping. I brought her home late, after work, and had no idea what to do. I put her in our closet with food, water, litter box, and put a large window screen over the opening. This was ok for a short time, but she was so excited to be home she started climbing it. So, I closed the door 95% of the way and blocked it with a 25lb weight, which I absolutely hated. I did put a fan blowing air under the door for her. I also put a security camera in there so I could watch her. Last, I slept on the floor outside the door all night to make sure nothing happened. This was obviously a miserable situation for both. Since I could barely sleep from worry and discomfort, I started looking for options on the web. I came across this crate and ordered it for pick up at 9am. I sent the order around 2:30 am. I got a text a little after 9 saying it was ready. It was pouring out, so I couldn't take my pick up and took sedan instead. I flew down there and got it. Petco staff helped me carry it out since I'm recovering from a torn Achillies tendon. Thank you. It fit in the back seat of my car, which I was also worried about. Once home, it took me all of 5 minutes to set this thing up and she was ready to move it. It has worked out so well. I bought the biggest one because she's a big girl Maine Coon, and I needed to comfortably put food, water, and a litterbox in there. Works great. The best part is, this all collapses back down so I can store it away. I am so grateful for this cage. I was so afraid she would suffocate in the closet, and this cage is all air flow. I did put blankets on top and sides to give her a sense of protection. I also bought the matching pad. Not cheap, but very nice. You will need wide base bowls for the cage if you use the pad. I wish the pad was a 8-12 inches short in length so I could out the bowls on a hard surface, but the wide base bowls worked fine. They would not for a heavier animal.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Seems well made. I like the 2 door design. A little difficult to assemble (for me, 70 y.o. female with no upper body strength and arthritis in both hands) so I will get help putting together my extra large when it arrives. But otherwise happy!

EASY OPEN AND CLOSE

This is the best crate I have ever had and I have bought lots of crates:). The crate is strong and sturdy and the sliding door is so EASY to open and close--which is important because so many of these crate doors stick..

Yes, I recommend this product.

Well constructed kennel. Large enough for large dogs. A bit heavy for some to move.

Easy to Assemble and Subdivides Well

MLehmanEsq

A tough fairly easy to assemble crate with a divider that handily subdivides the interior space. Our pup quickly made it home and sleeps through the night inside. The only critique I have is that opening and closing the front door can be tricky....needs some maneuvering to get the door in place and snap shut.

No, I do not recommend this product.

is a divider panel included with the small crate?

Can the side door be swapped and moved to the other side? I need the crate with the door on the end and the door on the left side when looking at it. It will be setting in a corner.

    1. Hi GTN4, Good day! Unfortunately, that is not an option. Thanks,

Is the divider panel included or will I have to buy it separately?

    1. Yes, a divider panel was included with the Large crate that I purchased.
