The Blue Dot Toby Puffer is both a vibrant and unique looking. They are also unique in how they move; unlike other fish that have pelvic fins this puffer will use its pectoral fins to move forward and backwards. Their scaleless body makes them sensitive to parameter changes. Like all puffers, the Blue Dot Toby is not reef safe because they will nip at corals and all invertebrates. Try avoiding tank mates that are slow or have very long fins because this puffer is also a fin nipper. To reduce aggression, provide plenty of hiding places and keep the puffer well fed. Their small adult size of about 4" makes them ideal for smaller aquariums. This puffer is littered with neon blue spots and markings that really make them stand out. Their longer snout also allows them to get into crevices for food. The Blue Dot Toby Puffer are found in the Indo-Pacific inhabiting sheltered rocky reefs, lagoons and seaward reefs. Their colorations can vary depending on where they are collected.

ACCLIMATION: Avoid exposing new aquatic life to bright lights after opening the box. Turn off aquarium lights prior to floating aquatic life. Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. A bacteria booster addition can assist with the addition of new aquatic life. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe for the addition of new aquatic life. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried and frozen foods, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller aquariums.
If we need to contact you for any reason about your order, shipping of your package may be affected. Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email with your order summary. Orders are subject to verification of payment information by phone or email. We ship for arrival to the customer Tuesday through Friday and Saturday for an extra charge where available.

We recently bought a Betta from a chain store pet shop. He is currently in a 10 gallon tank with a heater. He’s been eating and swimming around, acting fine. The first day we had him I noticed this bump. (Didn’t notice in the petstore but hard to see in those cups they keep them in) Here’s a side shot. Looks like one tiny fluid filled bump, size of a scale. Any ideas?
Hi, my name is Emma and I have a male half moon betta fish named pucker. I’ve had him for about three weeks now and just bought him a tank about a week ago. When I bought him from petsmart they ran out of betta food so they gave me this bug bites tropical fish and he ate it but didn’t like it. But I went back and bought him his food, which colour enhances. Today I went to go feed him and noticed his colour has changed, did it change in a good way? Also does he look healthy to you?
My white halfmoon betta has.3 small red dots on his head? He may have ran into a piece of spiderwood in his tank or it might be a parasite. Is he alright?
