My kitten likes to scratch my wooden chair, doors,and occasionally the door frames. I bought her a wooden cat scratcher with catnip and all she does is bite, sleeps, and lays on it. Do you have any recommendations on what would be a good scratching post? Sisal rope, Sisal carpet, and etc?
Gibbs my new 1yr old cat, he's familiar with the pink round platform ball trackor on the left. Because he had one to play with at the Northshore Animal League. At 1st he's would pounce the scratch not understanding he could scratch it as well, until I pour a little catnip on it..its organic, but wondering if it's alright brand? I'm making a wood finish for cat furniture and I'm wondering if there is anything all natural I can add to discourage chewing. An essential oil maybe, or are they all potentially toxic? Ideally it would smell good to humans and taste bad to cats. The only other ingredients are pure soap flakes and water.
