Excellent safety profile
Panacur oral dewormer contains fenbendazole, which kills parasites by disrupting their energy metabolism.
Panacur is given orally and mixed with a small amount of food. Always follow the dosage instructions provided by your veterinarian. If you have difficulty giving the medication, contact your veterinarian. In most cases, it must be given for multiple consecutive days.
Panacur will safely remove roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and Taenia pisiformis (a tapeworm). It will not prevent reinfection with these parasites.
Panacur comes in granules.

Have your veterinarian explain the other treatment options that may be available to treat your pet's condition.
Some intestinal parasites, such as hookworms and roundworms can be spread to people. Talk to your veterinarian about other measures you can take to prevent your pet from being infected with intestinal worms, and protecting yourself.
Notify your veterinarian of any other medications or supplements your pet is receiving. Also tell your veterinarian if your pet has had any reactions to previous medications.

Panacur is mixed with the food, so it is very important that the pet eat all of the food and consume all of the Panacur.
Not for use in animals who are hypersensitive (allergic) to it.
Rare. May see vomiting. If your pet experiences an allergic reaction to the medication or has a reaction to the dying parasites, signs may include facial swelling, hives, scratching, sudden onset of diarrhea, vomiting, shock, seizures, pale gums, cold limbs, or coma. If you observe any of these signs, contact your veterinarian immediately.
Store at room temperature in a tight, light-resistant, childproof container. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Panacur is a very safe drug. Adverse reactions and toxicities are unlikely. If you know or suspect your pet has had an overdose, or if you observe any unusual signs, symptoms, or behaviors, contact your veterinarian immediately.
Notify your veterinarian of any other medications, including vitamins and supplements, your pet is taking while your pet is receiving fenbendazole. There are no known drug or food interactions.

Can I give my dog bravecto and Panacur at the same time or should I wait a few days?
please forgive my being graphic: do deceased whipworms resemble shredded finger nail clippings? After three days of Panacur for her weight size, Merri had a lot of those look like shredded nail clippings in her stool yesterday. Good for me, finally buying Panacur, but i sure wish we'd wormed her for whips a lot sooner! she's lived with me a year and a half already!
Pepper still has giardia. Initially treated 14 days metro w/7 days panacur mixed in. Sent stool to lab where they detected still shedding cysts. Vet said we can treat again with Panacur. Very diligent about keeping her and the yard clean. Her stool has become more firm for the past few weeks. Could she always have giardia? We have 9yr yorkie who seems fine. Separate bathroom areas and food and water bowls. feeling so defeated that Pepper will never kick this giardia.
I'm fostering some kittens and just looking to double check my math when it comes to panacur to deworm th. They are 9 weeks and 2.5 lbs
My ten week lab puppy has mucas and blood in her loose poop breeder said he'd wormed her ten days ago should I worm her myself with panacur
My 11 week old puppy has giardia & was given panacur; now he has diarrhea. Vet thinks it's a side effect. Any other advice or how to treat the diarrhea?
13+y/o dil tortie SF indoor nearly 2y now tested + Giardia, vet gave me 4d Rx Panacur, after 4d: diarrhea & crying stopped. Washed her next day w/Hartz Extra Gentle Cat Shampoo bc I read to bathe after Panacur regimen to remove any contagious feces. Next day, she starts sneezing, occasional wheeze sound,&runny eyes/nose,loud breath, congested. 2d later:not eating. I syringe fed&gave sub-q fluids.Took2vet:stethoscope indicated possible pneumonia,Rx: Clavamox. Could a bath have caused this?
I’m giving panacur to my kitten and having trouble. First, is it safe for me? (As it had spilled on my arms) Also, if I put it on her dry food to eat will it still be effective?
I need to deworm my 2 dogs I was told by a vet that panacur is a great brand to deworm but I was wondering if the safe guard dewormer works just as effectively . And if so how many treatments will I have to do
Hello. My puppy has had giardia since I got her in December from Petland. She has had 3 treatments of panacur and is about to start her 4th. Should the giardia be gone by now? Is there something else that I can do to get rid of it?
