What size wire crate does a 15 pound Dachshund need...small or medium?
I just purchased a soft travel crate for Rogue as we are traveling to my new place of work in a few weeks. He does really well in his regular crate since he is crate trained. However, in the soft crate, he scratches it a lot for about 2 min and then settles in. How do I stop the initial scratching so he is comfortable and doesn’t tear it up?

I want to crate train my 1 year old dog. I bought a "medium" crate for her , shes 25 lbs - aussie/dashund mix so shes kind of long shaped. The measurments on the box are for a dog even taller/wider than mine... but the crate doesnt really seem big enough for her to turn around in (unless she kind of squirmed up into a circle). I've moved and to get my cat acclimated I've decided I'm going to crate him while we are working. The crate i have is 42"x28"x30", with a dual level. Will this be enough space for my cat? He is 14y/o, and will be crated for 6-8 hours 5 days a week for a few weeks, until he gets used to the area. Of course he'll be inside the house, and let out in the evenings and sometimes for a bit on lunchtime.

I am crate training my dog. is that the best thing for him
So my dog keeps peeing in her kennel. I have started making more frequent potty breaks and that has helped some. But she still has accidents about twice a week. So I have thought about getting her a smaller kennel. She is in a 42’’ wire kennel. She can lay in a ball in the corner of it and not take up much room. She is too tall for a smaller kennel. What should I do? Also she had had all her bloodwork done and nothing is wrong. She is 30’’ tall and 30’’ long.
Is it safe that my 2 month od puppy will travel with me without a crate?
