The Marina Betta EZ Care Aquarium provides a no mess, no stress maintenance solution. Now there's no need to get your hands wet, disturb your Betta, or disrupt your aquarium decor in order to perform routine water changes. Simply add clean water and the EZ care self-cleaning feature does the rest.

  • - By adding clean water, debris gets flushed to the bottom of the tank and then out to the reservoir located on the back. When the reservoir is filled; just remove, empty and replace -- no mess, no stress
  • - The aquarium's small size takes up very little space and its chic design allows it to blend in nicely with a variety of household or office settings such as counters, desks, bookshelves or coffee tables
  • - 2x larger than the original EZ Care
  • - 6 L (1.35 US gal) clear plastic cube aquarium with frame and EZ care feature
  • - Decorative double-sided background
  • - Decorative pebbles

Bettas cannot survive in such a tank like this. I’m so tired of large petstores constantly pushing these types of products. Bettas need a minimum of 5 gallons with a heater and active filtration system . This little cube isn’t even suitable for a snail or shrimp.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Works good as a quarantine tank

We started with this tank but quickly realized our betta was unhappy and cramped. Got a 5 gal tank for him, and he loved it! We kept this tank as our quarantine tank, and it has been very helpful for that. I would not use this full time. Give your healthy betta room to show you just how beautiful he is :)))

TOO SMALL!!

This tank is too small to humanely keep almost any fish, never the less a betta. Betta fish need a minimum of 5 gallons (at the VERY least 3 gallons, but that's pushing it), plus they need a heat source. Any tank advertising itself as self-cleaning is a sham. If you want this for a marimo ball or some plants then go for it, but do yourself and your fish a favor and get them a real tank! This is downright animal cruelty and shouldn't be advertised as a tank suitable for a fish that is native to acres-large rice fields.

No, I do not recommend this product.

This thing really sucks.

Loved the idea of it, but the “cleaning system” is useless. The waste does not go down into the grate and out into the reservoir. Have to dump and clean this every three weeks or it smells terrible bad collects grime in the bottom. The price is alluring, but spend 5 more dollars on a legit beta tank.

No, I do not recommend this product.

The picture is the 0.7 version. It says the 1.3 gallon is available but no picture. Do you really get the 1.3 gallon?

  1. You do indeed, I think they simply forgot to add a picture for the 1.3 gallon. Look it up online, you'll find pics. It's quite different compared to the 0.7 gallon. Now, I'm sure it's useless for me to say but don't use this as a permanent enclosure. A betta, for example, prefers no less than 5 gallons but even they like bigger tanks (15 gallons is my minimum). Many plants are either too large or consume nutrients too quickly in this tank meaning liquid ferts or CO2 injection is required. Marimos can get 12" in diameter and wouldn't be able to fit. You can use it as a temporary hospital/QT tank/tub but even this isn't ideal. Hospital tanks should ideally be 5+ gals if you'll be adding meds. QT (or quarantine) tubs are a bit different but still, the larger the better in this case. The only living being I can think of that could survive, or even thrive, in this tank would me aquatic mosses, liverworts or subwassertang as they stay small and don't require much lighting or nutrients. Hope this helps friend, good luck ;)

According to the Petco care guide on Betta fish and other reputable sources, betta fish need a minimum of 2.5 gallons of water, a heater, and a filter in order to provide a healthy environment. So, why is this tank marketed for betta fish?

  1. We bought 2 and did a little change up. We connected the two with a water tunnel. My female Betta absolutely loves this. She swims and investigates one tank, then swims through the tunnel to do the same in there. Added a small heater in each side (use thermometer and monitor water temp). We used more natural looking rocks, some plants, a couple of Marimo balls and a Betta leaf. Even the snails travel back and forth through the tunnel. I have no issues with the cleaning system. My male Bettas are in larger tanks but I really think they would all love this setup!!!

Would you recommend a heater for this tank and if so which heater? Thank you
