Questions
The picture is the 0.7 version. It says the 1.3 gallon is available but no picture. Do you really get the 1.3 gallon?
- You do indeed, I think they simply forgot to add a picture for the 1.3 gallon. Look it up online, you'll find pics. It's quite different compared to the 0.7 gallon. Now, I'm sure it's useless for me to say but don't use this as a permanent enclosure. A betta, for example, prefers no less than 5 gallons but even they like bigger tanks (15 gallons is my minimum). Many plants are either too large or consume nutrients too quickly in this tank meaning liquid ferts or CO2 injection is required. Marimos can get 12" in diameter and wouldn't be able to fit. You can use it as a temporary hospital/QT tank/tub but even this isn't ideal. Hospital tanks should ideally be 5+ gals if you'll be adding meds. QT (or quarantine) tubs are a bit different but still, the larger the better in this case. The only living being I can think of that could survive, or even thrive, in this tank would me aquatic mosses, liverworts or subwassertang as they stay small and don't require much lighting or nutrients. Hope this helps friend, good luck ;)

According to the Petco care guide on Betta fish and other reputable sources, betta fish need a minimum of 2.5 gallons of water, a heater, and a filter in order to provide a healthy environment. So, why is this tank marketed for betta fish?
- We bought 2 and did a little change up. We connected the two with a water tunnel. My female Betta absolutely loves this. She swims and investigates one tank, then swims through the tunnel to do the same in there. Added a small heater in each side (use thermometer and monitor water temp). We used more natural looking rocks, some plants, a couple of Marimo balls and a Betta leaf. Even the snails travel back and forth through the tunnel. I have no issues with the cleaning system. My male Bettas are in larger tanks but I really think they would all love this setup!!!
