I noticed bloat in my flowerhorn about two weeks ago. It was there when I fed him and went away when I didn't. So I treated him with Epsom salt soaked pellets, bloat was present then. Then I noticed white poop so I stopped feeding entirely and added metronidazole 400 to the tank. Didn't work as I only saw white poop, so I added the medication into his food and now I can see brown poop hanging from a clear poop sticking out of his butt. Earlier the poop didn't stick out of his butt. What to do?
I have a 3 year old black lab, she is 80lbs and in great health. But she is having a hard time with her GI track she has been seen by 3 different vets all put her on a antibiotic and 2 put her on a probiotic packet all seamed to help but once she is not taking them she has runny stools yet again. Constant diaharea, vet 1st prescribed Metronidazole 100mg 1 cc a day and tried Science diet. At 1st booster appt. 2nd booster he prescribed Vetri-Probiotic 1 cap a day for 14 days (he still has 4 pills left) still no improvement. I then removed all food for 36 hours and started him on rice did ok for 2 days once i tried to add alittle chicken then dry puppy food and and now right back to same problem. He has no other symptoms, except for being hungry. I feed him 3 times a day.
My flat-coat has had liquid B.M.'s for the last 7-10 days. My vet has prescribed Proviable-Forte, a digestive health supplement. He is showing no improvement after 2 days. He still has a good appetite but throws up any little bit of chicken meat that I give him to help him eat the paste. He seems to keep his kibble down but drinks lots of water. I am thinking he may have an obstruction but not sure how to proceed.
Lou has been on royal canin gastro intestinal low fat wet food for about 2 weeks bc he had stress colitis the vet said. His fecal and giardia were negative. He’s been doing great on that food but transitioning him over has been tough. He either won’t eat it w his food mixed in or he struggles to poop and it’s runnier. I planned on trying to transition to Purina pro plan this week hoping it will be better.
What natural diet can help to grow long coat?
9 1/2 month old dog, loose stool for over 2 weeks. Fecal sample negative. Did 10 days of Metronidozole plus only chicken and rice. No improvement. Course of panacur, then switched for boiled beef and rice. Perfect poop for 3 days. Introduced 1/4 cup kibble and went right back to mush then mushy/liquidy. Could it be the brand of food (the 1/4 cup introduced was beef, grain free Merrick, since hedid well on the boiled beef. Vet is not helping. Any Suggestions?
I have been giving my 20-year-old cat Proviable for many months now. I got it from my vet when I brought her in for her diarrhea and he gave her Flagyl and told me to give the Proviable to her for a month. I couldn't get the Flagyl down her but was able to mix the Proviable in her food and that worked. Will giving her Proviable help to alleviate her diarrhea (as she still has it) and it has been a long time now, about a year.?
Eats core wellness grain free ocean formula because of unknown allergy (licks her paws all the time). Finished a 26 lbs bag already but zero difference. Also taking vetriscience derma strength for few months now. Prefer supplements (chews) that med (Benadryl). There's lawsuit (July 2017) against wellness food (arsenic & lead), should I switch to other brand?if so, which one please? Thanks.
