I really like the lifting side door for my large coonhound. It was easy to assemble and breakdown for storage. Definitely buying this brand again.

You have to assemble to side door and it's not easy at all especially with bent pieces. Might be heavy duty but trying to assemble is frustrating. Get the one door unless really need the 2!

Rusty out of the box

Ordered 2 because they were half off... drove an hour to pick them up. 1 looks like it's been used, rusted up. The doors are terrible to open if you plan on using these for anything other than a dog. Not a normal door, you use a latch and basically take the door halfway off its hinges to open the doors. Definitely not what I thought I was buying.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Health concerns & mfg defects

Ally_22

I’ve bought this crate 3 times - had to return two of them due to the door not wanting to open properly (manufacturing defect) or crate metal being bent. My bigger issue with this crate, however, is a huge health concern with the plastic tray. I’ve had this crate for a year - I have a dog with separation anxiety that salivates when left alone. Over time, this tray has broken down and now if you wipe it with a paper towel, black wipes off with it. It is disintegrating. It’s gotten to the point where now the tray is actually breaking underneath where she mainly drools (which has led to drool soaking into the metal underneath, causing rust to form on my carpet. I do not recommend this crate. That black stuff rubbing off cannot be good for her paws. I’ve had other crates in the past with other dogs, never had this issue. As background: my dog is a flat coated retriever who is not destructive inside the crate. She does not thrash about, just drools. So the crate cracking and breaking off in pieces is not due to her being rough on it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Terrible Door Latch

GenXMJC

Bought this spontaneously in local Petco in January. I should have done my research first. This item has a very faulty door latch. It take forever to latch it—exactly what you do not want when crate training a resisting dog. One needs to jingle/jangle/shake/move the door to get it to close. Equally awful opening door. The puppy, of course, is upset by all the commotion. Terrible product.

No, I do not recommend this product.
