Hi! My bird has layed eggs but their nest is not in good condition. I gave them enough fiber and even sticks but somehow they left a hole where two eggs have fallen, several remain and I'm desperate to move or correct their nest so that the eggs won't fall but I've heard that it could also cause the birds some stress and make them think the eggs are a goner. This is a question about chick hatchlings. We have Siklie chicks hatching. One just hatched in the coop the hen is using. When is it safe to remove the chick from the coop and place under a heat lamp? We are concerned because temperatures are still dropping down to the 50's where we live and the hen is not making it a priority to lay on the chick.
I have a pair of peach faced love birds. I never placed a nesting box in their cage. Between the two of them they shredded toys, wood blocks from toys, the poop pad and made their own make-shift nest. The female Iris has laid 4 eggs. I discovered the first two on 12/19 and the last on 12-23. I have been advised to just leave things alone but at what point should I got in and clean? I removed the grill above the catch tray and that is where they have their homemade nest so I can clean anything.

Hello, We seem to be having an issue concerning the poop(?) of some of our 5 day old chicks. We ordered them online from a quality breeder, not a mass-hatchery like Tractor Supply or Agway. All of a sudden, some of them (4 or 5 of them out of this batch of 22 chicks) seem to be pooping weird, long, stringy poops that don't look normal. We were thinking they could be intestines, however looking at images of intestines coming out of chicks it doesn't look like that- it's not bloody or anythin
A duck came into our backyard and laid 11 eggs that all hatched today. animal control can't pick them up and told us to keep them for 3 days. how do we take care of them? it's around 50degrees F out. we put them in a plastic storage container with a heat lamp indoors. what do we feed them? how much water should we place inside their cage?
