Hello, my laying hens just dropped laying barely a month after they started laying. They are 120 and now am only getting 30 eggs. Tried giving stress pack for a week and no change. What should I do
We have 5 chickens and receive 5 eggs a day. Around 2 weeks ago I noticed one hen had feathers missing around the neck area. I thought maybe it was a cat attack and didn't worry as behaviour was per usual. Today she sat in the coop with her eyes wide open and didn't leave once. This is very unusual but she still layed a perfect egg. Maybe it's noteworthy that the 5th chicken was introduced later however the chicken of concern (ringo starr) was part of the original 4.
My chick's droppings are reddish brown
I own twenty-one white cornish cross chickens that are about four weeks old. We have a weather forecast that shows there will be a low of thirty-nine degrees at night this week. Do I need to use a heat lamp? Thank You!

Hello, I am I first time chicken owner. I have had my girls for about 6 months now I got all 6 of them from the same place at the same time, they have been together the entire time. They are now laying eggs. Within the last week 3 of my girls have developed a patch on them. The patch is missing feathers and looks like a scab. It is on the same area on all 3 of them. I am extremely worried about them. The area is on their side after the wings and lower than the tail feathers.
My dog ate about four small chocolate cookies. He weighs about 20lbs. Should I be concerned. The packaging states that it contains milk chocolate
Is Purina Layer Pellets a good brand for chickens? What else is there (better or worse idc)
First time my hen started laying eggs and incubated 5 eggs 2 eggs hatched again the second time another hen started incubated on her eggs there were 5 eggs again 2 eggs only hatched what can be the reason ?
Hello, I got 3 laying hens 3 days ago (counting today) and I have only been collecting one egg per day. Are the nervous from moving to a new home? Why are they not laying? What can I do to help them lay more eggs?
Cam i take one egg daily to my pet?
My hens all seem to have vent gleet; with whitish droppings on their back feathers. I’ve tried giving apple cider vinegar, probiotics, and yogurt to them and it seemed to help a little but nothing has made it go away. Over the past few days my Olive Egger hen has been a bit lethargic. We thought it had something to do with the heat but we aren’t sure. She also started making a strange coping noise, almost like a gurgle or gasp in the back of her throat. Thanks for the help!
