Hey I have a chicken but and I also have a coop but my chickens hate going in their coop I put it on top of my roof cause they like to stay on the roof but they seem to ignore the coop they are cage free chickens
My chick's droppings are reddish brown
I got 3 chickens today. They are Rhode Island red, Barded rock and Black Wyandotte Bantam. They are understandably scared and anxious about moving into a new home. How can I help them adjust and be more at ease?
What are the best type of perches for my two year old male black capped conure?
Hi... my chicken got kicked by my horse today and her leg seem to be broken or fractured I can't tell and can't pay for a vet bill to find out. She lips around and in the picture where it's circled I know the fracture/brake is in that area. She puts no weight on it and hops around on one foot. Is it possible to split it? If so how can I do that and with what materials? I live on a farm so I have plenty of things to use to fix it. Please help I would really like to keep my few laying hens alive.
Below I have doodled the plans for a barn I am currently looking for a property to build the barn on but I want to know if the barn plans would be adequate. 4 horses 1 pony and about 5 head beef steer with the equines coming in at night with hay nets and going to pasture after morning grain. Cattle probably only coming in for bad weather. Atm it's just a dream but any advice is appreciated.
My chicken is limping, her poop is runny and goes everywhere, her comb towards the back is black and peeling off, and her underbelly is bare
We have 5 chickens and receive 5 eggs a day. Around 2 weeks ago I noticed one hen had feathers missing around the neck area. I thought maybe it was a cat attack and didn't worry as behaviour was per usual. Today she sat in the coop with her eyes wide open and didn't leave once. This is very unusual but she still layed a perfect egg. Maybe it's noteworthy that the 5th chicken was introduced later however the chicken of concern (ringo starr) was part of the original 4.
Is Purina Layer Pellets a good brand for chickens? What else is there (better or worse idc)
my hen is bleeding from beak
My bird is on it perch flapping its wing and chirping loudly
