How can you sell or even have on your shelves....HILLS PRESCRIPTION DIET DOG FOOD????? After excessive Vitamin D killed hundreds of dogs, including My Sweet Loving Lani, with "poison"....no quality controls at Hills when their third party added two times the amount of Vitamin D to their product????? Prescription Diet....there's no FDA ingredient in it that requires a prescription.....just corporate wanting MONEY.....

Can you use Hills Science Diet and Royal Canin foods together? My cats hate Royal Canin urinary care dry but love the Hills C/D urinary dry food and love the Royal Canin urinary wet food but hate the Hills urinary wet food. They only eat the wet once a day every other day. I’m concerned now because someone told me that using 2 different prescription veterinary diets makes the prescription diets useless. My veterinarian has never said anything to me about this & knows I use Royal Canin and Hills.
On the Hills homepage they say that the Hills Prescription diet Derm Defense can be used long term. But my question is if I should use it long term. I jist want a food for my dog that will give her the healthiest life possible, I don't really care about the cost.
My vet diagnosed my dog with moderate renal failure. She is recommending a prescription diet (Hills K/D). I have been looking at Just Food For Dogs Renal but she suggests sticking to the well known brands (Hills, Royal Canin, Purina). Is there any clinical research known on JFFD effectiveness? Also, shes telling me 3-6 months life expectancy, but I'm seeing that dogs can live for years with renal failure. Is there anything besides diet I can do to help? Supplements, anything?
My 5 year old Bernese Mountain Dog has been having Diarrhea for a few weeks now. We have tried medication, prescription food, probiotics, and nothing has worked. It does stop if I give her a bland diet of boiled chicken and rice for a couple days, but as soon as I try to mix in her regular food (Purina One Smart blend healthy weight ) the issue comes right back. We are currently feeding her Hills I/d prescription diet with a probiotic and metronidazole. What would you recommend the next step be?

Brody had bladder stones removed. The stones were found to be calcium oxalate stones and we were told to switch his food to Hills prescription U/D diet which we have. There is only dog food - wet and dry. Are there any other foods we can feed Brody in conjunction with this diet - specifically treats? Also, is Brody ok to continue with his Dasaquin supplement ? My cat has just been prescribed hills prescription z/d science diet. It is very thick and my cat seems to have a hard time eating it but LOVES it when i syringe feed the food to him. Can i mix some water with the wet food to make it easier for the food to go up the syringe?
