Just like the human obesity epidemic, over 55% of the cat population is overweight. Even a little extra weight can impact the pet's quality of life, relationship with family members and over time the weight may: reduce play time, put the cat at risk of urinary conditions like bladder stones, and negatively affect general lifelong health. Stress has also been shown to negatively impact bladder health. Hill's nutritionists & veterinarians developed Prescription Diet c/d Multicare Stress + Metabolic Weight Dry Cat Food to be clinical nutrition especially formulated to help manage a cat's urinary health and weight. In fact, the nutrition in c/d Multicare Stress + Metabolic Weight Dry Cat Food has been shown to reduce the recurrence rate of the most common urinary signs by 89% , to reduce body weight by 11% in 60 days and contains ingredients to help manage stress.

My cat is very overweight. We currently feed her below the required amount of hills metabolic food and it's not working. What else can we do?
my 12 year old cat was recently diagnosed with early stages of kidney disease. i had her eating the dry food from Hills K/D and she was ok with that. Then i moved her to the wet food because she stopped eating the dry. now she’ll eat the wet food for a day or so and then refuses. the only food she never misses a meal is fancy feast pate and blue buffalo healthy gourmet pate. i know commercial food isn’t great, but are either of these foods near the percentile a kidney cat needs?
My 8 y/o male cat had his first bout of cystitis a few weeks ago, my vets only solution was to give Rx food (Hills, Royal Canin or ProPlan) these all have fish products in them (even non fish flavors) and my cat is allergic. They have no other suggestions and said he will have another issue if he's not on that food. I've read about Wysong Uretic wet food, Wysong Biotic ph- supplement, Cystease, Tinkle Tonic, etc - would anything else work as an alternative? PLEASE HELP!
I wanted my male cat to loose weight I changed his diet to Iam's weight controll he was in February 11.8 lbs later 11 lbs later again 9.8 lbs today he is 8.2 he is not interested in canned dry treats he drinks regularly
Can you please recommend a diet for a cat with Feline pancreatitis, currently feeding Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline Sensitivity Control Wet food. He only eats wet food.
My cat needs to undergo surgery to extract his teeth, but he is too thin. He currently weighs about 1kg. So i am force feeding him with Hill's prescription diet a/d. How many mL in syringe should i give to him daily.
For cats with FIC, what is the best diet? I’m am giving her C/D wet with fish oil and kibble, but she still shows signs of discomfort. I wonder if the fish oil is throwing off the pH of the diet. Her symptoms are licking the urethra and obsessive grooming that occur sporadically it seems. The kibble is actually half C/D and half Royal Canine Adult Indoor. The high fiber in they kibble prevents her from getting anal sac abcesses. Thank you for your help.
Our cat has been on Hills r/d for 2 years and has lost 2 pounds. Is that healthy to be for that long?
I’m looking for.bags of the previous Hills Science Diet Sensitive Skin snd stomach cst food. My cat refuses to eat new s and s that Hills has just brought out. He only eats the previous kind .. can u help me locate some bags of previous food?? Thank you. I’m desperate.
My 15 year old cat has stage 2 kidney disease. She shows no changes in her personality or daily habits. She will not eat any of the renal wet prescription diet food that our vet has suggested. What would be the best brand of store shelf wet food for her? I have been reading labels for high protein and moisture, good Omega 3, low phosphorus and alot of brands seem to be about the same. She is a fussy eater.
I've been feeding my cats Candidae food, dry hairball control kibble and wet food 2x/day. They like the dry, but LOVE the wet. However t's quite expensive and that brand only carries 3 oz cans of wet food which makes calculating feeding amounts difficult. I want to make sure I'm feeding them the best and most cost efficient way. What would you recommend feeding them, and how, and how much? Do their weights (attached photo) seem healthy?
My 15 week old kitten keeps eating my 9 year old's Rx Hills Science C/D dry food - she prefers it over her kitten kibble. I'm having a hard time keeping her away from the adult cat bowl. She came to me eating Iams kitten kibble & I'm in the process of transitioning her to Hills Science Kitten dry food. Should I be concerned about her eating the Rx food?
