59% of the cat population is overweight1. Even a little extra weight can lead to serious health problems. Extra weight reduces play time, impacts mobility and affects the general health of your cat. Factors contributing to weight gain include age, lack of exercise and overfeeding. Along with frequent physical exercise, choosing the right food plays a very important role in helping cats reach their proper weight. Hill's nutritionists & veterinarians developed Prescription Diet m/d GlucoSupport clinical nutrition to help support your cat's glucose and weight management. In fact, m/d GlucoSupport is clinically tested nutrition to manage glucose and weight. 1Pet Obesity Survey Study 2018.

13 y/o male cat with hyperthyroidism. Need recommendation for affordable dry cat food.
My 16 yr old Persian cat was recently diagnosed w/kidney disease. Doc prescribed Hill's Kidney Care. I've been trying to give the canned version for the first time ever because of dehydration. She eats some, but not enough, & has dropped from her usual 7 1/2 lbs to about 5 1/2 lbs. She licks & licks, but it takes forever for her to get it in. She also seems unable to pick up the dry version because of it's shape & size and her flat face. What can I do to get her to eat enough?
What is the best cat food for cats with diabetes?
One of our male cats recdently had a blockage and we had to take him to emergency. We got there in the nick of time, he was going into kidney failure! Naturally he now has to be on special prescription food. The Hill's c/d he doesn't like at all. The Royal Canin he tolerates but will hardly eat it. I always try to mix something else in but it's just a chore to get him to eat now and the poor guy is hungry. He does love Royal Canin's dry SO food and treats. What else can I feed him?
Best low-carb wet food for cats?
My 10 yr old lab recently was diagnosed with diabetes. She absolutely refuses the hills prescription weighty-mobility she was put on. After 4 days hospital, they sent he4 home in hopes she would begin to eat. After 4 days of doing everything I could think of to get enough food on board to given her insulin, I gave up. I cooked some homemade bone broth, rice, and ground venison. She gets a cup morning and night of the combined food. Any recommendations on a better food?
Cat diagnosed hyperthyroid. Vet sold us Hills Thyroid. Full of corn and cat allergic to corn. She doesn't know iodine content of other foods. Need high protein, no grain, no fish, good taurine and low salt and iodine below .4. Can't seem to find that info. Bought Merrick Purrfect Bistro Grain Free Chicken which met requirements. But it is dry and 1/3 of it is powder. Have always used Natural Balance but iodine is 2.2. Can you tell me what the iodine/salt content is in a food that will work
What is a good over the counter food dry and wet to give my 9 yr old cat to prevent renal disease?
My Kitty had UTI and US showed possibly crystallized mass in his bladder. The Vet prescribed Hill's Science Diet Adult Urinary & Hairball Control Cat food, which he has to stay on it, forever. My cat has not eaten in a almost a week. He is still on antibiotics and anti nausea meds, (AND appetite enhancer for last 6 days) to no result. he started drinking, but not much of food yet. Please, help!!
My vet Recommend Hill’s prescription diet for for 14lb dog who is overweight. Is there another more affordable option for her ?
Bam, male cat, 2yrs. old has been on diet of “sensitive stomach, Hill’s Sci. Diet, to control chronic diarrhea. It worked very well. Now we wish to change over to a less-expensive daily dry food. Bam rejects our new offerings. Is there any other brand you can suggest? 38 dollars for a large bag of Hill’s is a tough go for the rest of Bam’s life, if he could eat cheaper, and still maintain health. His brother also eats the same. Would you be willing to let us off the expensive medical food
