My cat had a urinary blockage recently and he almost didn’t make it. After some emergency care and a change in diet to the urinary care c/d he bounced right back. Bladder stones dissolved in days and blockage is gone. Plus he loves it.

I have 2 cats one was my daughter's and he has been diagnosed with crystals and a UTI and was put on this C/D urinary care dry cat food. He has been on it for a year and had a UTI and had crystals in his urine again a year later. So not sure if it really helps him if he has been on it for a year and still had a UTI and crystals. We got a drinking fountain and use distilled and reverse osmosis water in it. My cat has stage 3 kidney disease who was on a special kidney care from Purina dry cat food, now will only eat the Hills Urinary care c/d. So both cats like the chicken Hills Diet.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought this from a vet after taking my male cat Felix to the vet after noticing him growling while he was in the litter box going pee. This product has saved him from having to have a surgery!

I had a 7 year old male tuxedo cat named Felix that was rushed to the ER due to a blockage caused from crystals. Once he was put on this food he was fine for the rest of his life. I currently have another tuxedo cat named Louie. He was diagnosed with a small urethra when he was just 10 weeks old. The science diet c/d food was recommended and if it didn’t work he would need an operation. Louie is 8 now and hasn’t had another problem with urinating! I mix a 1/2 can of the wet formula and a 1/4 cup of dry. He loves it!

I have purchased this cat food for my cat for a couple years now. The last two bags have contained a lot of crumbles and not as much product. It is expensive. I don’t know why this is happening.

Thank you for your review. We are disappointed to hear of your experience. While crumbs can occur during the production of the dry product, we have a series of screens at various locations throughout our production line to eliminate these crumbs from entering the bag so it is very rare to encounter this amount. Fines/breakage can also be created during the distribution/transportation and storage process if the bags are subjected to rough handling. All of our products are 100% satisfaction guaranteed. If you would like to take advantage of this guarantee, please return the unused portion of the product to the place of purchase for a refund or exchange.

It saved his life!

Started 1 week ago. Maxx has doubled his intake. He wasted no time transitioning from prior dry food to Hills's dry c/d.

How many cups is in the 4lb bag

  1. 9 cups

I have two cats one that needs this special diet the other doesn’t. Is it safe for the other to eat as well? It’s hard to keep one from eating the others food.

  1. So do I. I can only tell you what my vet told me. She said both of them could eat c/d if the other cat that didn't need it would eat it.

How much of this dry and how much c/d Urinary Care canned for 13# male cat with FLUTD? Amount tech at chain animal hospital recommended is twice as much as conventional food he was eating (and he's 5% overweight.)

My cat doesn’t like chicken. Do you have ocean fish?

    1. Thank you for your question. This formula is indeed offered with ocean fish. To learn more about that option please visit https://www.hillspet.com/cat-food/pd-cd-multicare-feline-with-ocean-fish-dry. Hill's Pet Nutrition

    Do you have ocean fish?

How many pounds in the bag?

      1. 4

I understand this helps with struvite bladder stones. But can this specifically help with calcium oxalate bladder stones as well?how does it do that? Besides quality ingredients, what makes it specifically helpful? How is this better than the PurinaUrinar

      1. No. It doesn’t help with calcium oxalate stones. Unfortunately they are the worst and deadly. Three years ago my cat died from those stones even though he was on this food for one year and a half. This food only helps with struvite stones and other urinary tract problems.

Does this cat food have a tendency to make them gain weight? Is it safe to go by the weight chart on the bag?

      1. Thank you for your question. Just as eating amounts vary from person to person, eating amounts vary from pet to pet. The feeding amount on the packaging is intended only as a starting point. It's critical to your pet's health that his or her physical condition be monitored regularly and the feeding amount adjusted as needed. We hope this helps. Hill's Pet Nutrition

Why is this food so incredibly expensive? The ingredients are cheap (chicken, corn) and not even organic. I very much hope it helps my kitty's UT issues, but I don't see how this is healthy food in the long run. What am I missing?

      1. Thank you for your question. High-quality pet food starts with determining a pet’s nutritional needs first, such as life stage, lifestyle and health conditions. This allows you to find the right balance of nutrients. Once you know what you need, then it’s time to pick the ingredients. This is how Hill's has created balanced foods that have been trusted and recommended by veterinarians for more than 50 years.A balance of quality ingredients delivers protein, fat, carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins and minerals to meet a pet's nutritional needs. No single ingredient makes a food better; a pet food is the sum of its parts. Hill's Pet Nutrition

Reviews for Hill's Science Diet are full of complaints about the product being very expensive, yet Royal Canin is higher by a dollar a pound. Why the backlash?
