Best Food Ever!

Fitz

I fed I/D to my 2 cats, Jake and Elwood, for 14 and 16 years respectively. They loved it! Early on, Jake had problems digesting whatever I'd been feeding them and the Dr recommended I/D. I'm so glad she did!

Product my cats love. Hills Science diet prescription ID for sensitive. My problem is this store has three registers and if your lucky one receipt from one of the registers prints out about 60 readable. The other two registers you can’t even see the date. I wish this info gets to the Boca Raton Florida store.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I Have A Whole New Cat

When I took my cat to the emergency vet, I didn't think she would be coming home. She had gone downhill so fast. After a couple days she was sent home with a prescription for i/d and within a couple weeks I had a whole different cat. Her ribs and spine are no longer sticking out, her coat is beautiful, her tummy is round, and she is out and about, demanding attention. I look at her and am amazed. The only problem is that the other animals in the house - 2 other cats and a dog - think i/d is as delicious as she does.

Csn this cause gas issues? My kitty has CKD early stages keeps vomiting so vet put him on hills digestive care i/d. I feel like he is getting smelly. But on the positive side no more throwing up and diarrhea.

  1. I know it is expensive but my cat adjusted to it and now she is thriving. We tried to mix it with regular food and come off of it at one point and she immediately started getting sick again.. I will have her on this until she can't eat any more... I am a believer in it.

What is the actual fat percentage?

Does hills I/d promote weight gain in cats with sensitive stomach issues?

    1. It did the trick for my cat. She got very thin and mostly slept. In March of 2020 the vet ran hundreds of dollars in tests and determined that she had cancer but couldn't tell exactly what kind. We asked for a prescription so we could continue to give her this food since at least she didn't throw it up. It took a while but this year she has gained weight and is back to boxing the dogs ears. Totally back to normal. I plan to keep her on it.

What is the phosphorus content in this food?

    1. Thank you for your question. Prescription Diet i/d dry cat food has 0.88% phosphorous on a dry matter basis. Hill's Pet Nutrition

What are the changes that have been made to the new I/D dry formula? Thank you

    1. Thank you for your question. Hill's Prescription Diet i/d has not gone through any formula changes. Hill's Pet Nutrition
