Ok so I have an issue. Its getting cold here and we are looking at some very heavy snow this year. All three of our dogs are rather thin coated. The older two refuse to potty outside if its too cold. Would sweaters help? Also the youngest is less than two pounds (tiny chihuahua mix) and even though he's not allowed outside yet we like 2 to 4 inches above our floor tend to get cold no matter what temperature we keep the house at how can I help him stay warm?

We are housebound due to heavy snow in Virginia. My newly adoted dog will NOT go outside. She is a bulldog mix and the snow is deeper than she is tall. We have put pee pads down, even though she has never used the bathroom indoors (we brought her home Oct 23rd). What can we do tonight and tomorrow to help her go without being afraid of scolding or punishment?

I shared this chart with my fellow doodle owners and we all had a chuckle over it. According to this our dogs would not play outside all winter. -25 is acceptable to well dressed Goldendoodles and sheepadoodles. Anything between -10 to -15 they consider normal and actually lay in the snow. How accurate is the information in this chart?
