Before I started rotating my dogs food she was on on natural balance L.I.D. Venison. She also had the matching venison treats. is this a good brand? The only reason I switched was beause I felt they carbohydrate content was fairly high. (Around 50%) Also it was only 20% protein which seems low. she did do really well on this and always had dark colored firm stool. Should I just put her back on this? it doesn't Contain any veggies though, is that bad? Thanks!
Is it absolutely necessary that my dog eats a food that's formulated for small breeds or can she have regular sized kibble as well? I'm currently feeding her natural balance L.I.D. Kibble and they make small breed bites but only in certain flavors. I wanted to try the other flavors as well such as bison and venison but they don't come in small breed bites. Is this ok? The small breed bites are about the size of a pea and the regular kibble is about the size of a dime. she's 17 pounds.
I feed my dogs Pure Balance Trout + Lentils (has probitics) mixed with Purina One Beyond Small Bites Lamb and Rice(has the joint support in it as well so that’s nice!) . Can you take a look at the ingredients? They don’t have any grain allergies as they tolerate Cheerios as their training treats but I liked Pure Balances Ingredients and the Purina One has not as well but they eat the food readily with the better brand and plus has free joint supplement in it. What is the best brand for training treats for my dog?
My dog has recently developed an allergy to her blue buffalo food. I was recommended by my vet to switch her to Natural Balance LID. I bought her the chicken and sweet potato flavor, but she doesn’t seem to like it. She is never excited to eat anymore. I bought her the duck and potato flavor and it upset her stomach (I barely put any of the duck flavor in with her chicken). What do I do? I want her to enjoy her food but I feel bad changing her diet again since it always makes her sick.
I would like to make my chihuahua home made treats using Gerber oatmeal cereal, Beechnut sweet potato and Beechnut chicken. Would that be ok?

My dog does exceptionally well on Natural Balance L.I.D. Small breed bites, is this a high quality brand, or are brands like Fromm and Acana better? She has the best stool on the Natural Balance for whatever reason. Is it ok to just stick with that brand? The darker colored stools are from Natural Balance. The middle one is on Fromm I believe. I’m trying to figure out treats for my pup. He was just put on a hypoallergenic diet, and while we have the food angle covered, I’m trying to sort out treats and chews. He’s used to having Nylabone Nubz and Busy Bones, so I’m trying to find something similar to them. I’m also trying to make sure he doesn’t lose any weight as a result of his new diet. He’s 85 pounds, and a perfect body condition, so losing weight would be problematic. Do you have any suggestions??
I want to get this canned food for my dog as a topper to her dry food. It has shredded chicken along with whole white beans, peas and potatoes. Will she be able to digest this ok because the beans, peas and potatoes are not ground into a pate texture? she's on the dry version of this currently. I also ditched the twelve calorie treats and purchased the smaller 2 calorie treats and I'm only giving her three of those per day. Her total intake of extras is now less than 10% of her diet. :-)
