I have an older yellow lab that gets bored really easily. He gets bored with kongs and is an extreme chewer so rawhides or other chewies disappear SUPER fast! He is very intelligent and I was thinking of getting him a puzzle toy that involves treats as he is EXTREMELY food motivated! Since he's so smart should I still start him on the most basic puzzle or try something harder? I don't want to waste money on toys he'll go through really fast. And are there any other sorts of toys you can suggest?
Our 11 month old puppy is high energy and loves to play fetch. During a game of fetch he will get a scent and will run all over the yard with his nose to the ground, snorting and tail wagging. My question is there agility type of games for dogs who love to trace a scent?
What are ways to entertain my senior dog who is not interested in toys?(games, foods, walks)
My 6 puppy is bored! I take him out for (30min - 1 hour) walks twice a day and he has plenty of chew/cuddle toys, plus I give him his food in game. When he is up all he wants is to play, chew things or go on walks! I work from Home so need a couple of hours in the day to myself. Should I just ignore him? Is it normal for dogs to enterntain themselves? He only likes toys with food and either gets it fast or looses interest. He loves rawhide but I don’t want to give him more than one a day :(
My sister, parents, and I are all very busy people, and while we manage to take Conan for a walk most days, and there’s almost always someone home with him, I feel like he’s not getting enough mental and physical stimulation. He’s still young and very energetic. He’s not super interested in kibble-dispensers, unless there are HIGH quality treats, because he’s never been very food-motivated. Do you have any recommendations for energy-burning games or brain stimulating toys for him?
My dog Abby is quite playful, what toys would be the best for dogs like her? what toys do dogs prefer and like to play with?
My 8 year old dog is very stubborn; he won't do a trick without a treat in hand.he knows the trick, bc if I have a treat in my hand he'll do it. I've tried to do the treat sometimes, sometimes not, and it still doesn't work if I don't have the treat in my hand. what do I do?Also, is there any way for him to LIKE toys? The only thing he likes is 1 ball. I think he'd like a squeaky toy if he knew what he was supposed to do with it. I tried moving it around, but he just doesn't get it.
I'm struggling to find toys that are fun and suitable for my 9 month old gsd pup. I have a kong, a kong ring and a couple of rope toys. He seems to like the kong for a little and the rope toys are fun for tug of war. I have children with stuffed animals and I don't want him to attribute those to chew toys if I get puppy toys that looked like stuffed animals...Also for chew time are Bully sticks the safest/best thing I can give him or do you have any recommendations for that as well?
Just wondering What are the best toys for a puppy when they are in there teething phase?
My dog will chew on his blanket but not his chew toys. How can I get him to like or use his chew toys?
Could you recommend a good brand of toys, treats or bones for puppies who are teething?
