The Nina Ottosson by Outward Hound Puppy Lickin' Layers is a Level 2 dog puzzle game and slow feeder in one, designed to challenge your dog's mind while slowing down their eating pace. Dogs have to navigate the three layers of food compartments by spinning each one to reveal the treats. Dog puzzles help pups use their natural instincts and behaviors to help their brains develop through mental stimulation, and ones like Lickin' Layers provide the enrichment they crave!

I have an older yellow lab that gets bored really easily. He gets bored with kongs and is an extreme chewer so rawhides or other chewies disappear SUPER fast! He is very intelligent and I was thinking of getting him a puzzle toy that involves treats as he is EXTREMELY food motivated! Since he's so smart should I still start him on the most basic puzzle or try something harder? I don't want to waste money on toys he'll go through really fast. And are there any other sorts of toys you can suggest?
I adopted a very overweight dog. I am working on weight management and she has lost some weight but I'm concerned as she gobbles her food down literally in a minute. I just bought the puzzle bowl but she can only reach one morsel at a time using her tongue as she is a big dog. This doesn't seem right either but I don't know. It definitely slowed her eating. Advice please.
Our 7 month old puppy used to scarf her meals so fast, so we got a slow-feeder bowl. The last week or so, she has turned into a grazer and only eats a bite, then comes to find us in the house, hangs out a bit, goes for another bite, comes to find us, etc. We've tried standing in the kitchen while she eats, but it doesn't seem to help. Is this just growing up and her eating style has changed, is it the teenage years and she's testing us, or is she just bored of her food? Thank you in advance!
Sara is a very active hyper dog So lately we bought her a Kong Type Toy to help keep her busy what's a good low calorie filling for the toy that I can do at home that is safe to use everyday or almost everyday
I bought a slow feeder from the pet store to slow down my cat's eating but she is barely eating and she will walk away from the dish. I don't know what to do if I go back to feeding her like I was she will gorge on her food and then throw it up. How can I get her to start eating more from the slow feeder?
My puppy loves to run while eating. Sometimes he pauses and coughs because heâs being too energetic. I bought him a slow feeding bowl but he just gets aggrevated and tosses it or doesnât eat at all. How can I get him to either adjust to his new bowl or eat calmly?
Until now, I was soaking my puppies food in water. She would eat it very fast without chewing. We got a slow feeder bowl to encourage her to chew, but she is still swallowing the dry food whole. Will she eventually chew it? Is the kibble too small? Is this bad for her digestion if she doesnât chew, she does well going to the bathroom. Thanks!
My puppy swallows her food whole, it is a smaller kibble. We were soaking it in water until a few days ago, but she swallows it whole either way. We got a slow feeder bowl to try and slow her down and hopefully encourage her to chew at some point. Is it bad that she is not chewing her food? I thought about changing to a larger kibble, but she is small and I donât want her to choke/donât want to mess up her digestion and bowel movements
What is the best feeding mechanism to put the dog's meal for 15-30 min then take it or leave it all the day for the dog to eat as she want?
Dogs on canned food with dry food. Want them on dry food only. Very picky dogs. Thinking for their transition blending freeze dried bully mini cubes to make a yummy powder on top. A youtuber names Simpatico recommended for finicky dogs (liver treats) but how and when can I fade that out? Thinking just a table spoon or so the most on the food
Are there specific purposes for a slow feed bowl other than to slow down a dogs eating? Does it help them digest their food better or help them in any specific way? For example my dog eats rather fast, will a slow feed bowl provide any additional benefits besides just slowing down her eating?
I have a 6 month old female German Shepard mix, she doesn't use her tongue at all. Not to drink, eat or to give kisses. She has never stuck it out of her mouth. Well she eats really fast and I don't want her to get bloat. But she won't eat out of the slow feeding bowls because she won't stick her tongue out her mouth. I've tried the big rock in the bowl she still scarfes her food down, what can I do?
