Joint supplements for cats can be a great way to help your furry friend stay healthy and comfortable. Cat arthritis, or feline osteoarthritis, is a degenerative joint disease that can cause pain and discomfort. Joint health for cats is best maintained through regular exercise and a balanced diet; however, adding cat joint supplements to your pet's daily routine can help them manage the symptoms of arthritic joint pain.
Joint supplements can be beneficial for cats with joint pain and inflammation. Several studies have shown that glucosamine, chondroitin, methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), and omega-3 fatty acids can help reduce joint pain and inflammation in cats. Additionally, some supplements may provide additional benefits, such as supporting normal urinary tract health. However, it is important to discuss any supplements with your veterinarian before giving them to your cat.
The decision to give your cat joint supplements should be discussed with your veterinarian. In general, it is recommended that joint supplements be started as soon as your cat starts showing signs of joint pain or inflammation. Additionally, joint supplements can be beneficial for cats who are at risk for developing joint issues, such as those who are overweight or senior cats.
The best joint supplement for cats depends on your individual cat's needs. Generally, a supplement that contains glucosamine, chondroitin, and methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) is recommended, as this combination has been shown to reduce joint pain and inflammation in cats. It's important to discuss any supplements with your veterinarian before giving them to your cat.

What joint health supplement is recommended for a 5 month old kitten, diagnosed with genetic fragile bones and has a broken patella, already.
What are good joint supplements for dogs?
Hello, Is this joint supplement good for my cat, sweetie to try with a little salomn oil? The Chondroitin in it is made of shark cartilage. I sadly can not use cosequin on her because sweetie is sensitive to chrondroitin made of porcine or beef cartilage which is why I am considering this one. I also have a 5 year old male should I give it him to prevent joint issues already? The product is Wholistic Pet Organics Run Free: Joint Health Supplement - Natural Hip and Joint Supplement
What are joint supplement What do they do and does it help with hip Dysplasia
In your option, what is the best joint supplement for dogs?
Do you think joint supplements is good for a small dog like him and if so what kind
Is VetriFlex for pain does it help with hip Dysplasia
Our cat is 13 years old. He has a lax "knee joint " on his left hind leg, and hip issues as well. We use boxes as stairs so he can climb up on his favorite places. He will not take Tramadol, and glucosamine apparently is out because he's a Maine Coon, and our vet says that that breed can have heart issues from glucosamine. He also has aches and pains which we think are from a mild case of dermal blastomycosis, which he was diagnosed with five years ago. Wish we could help him . Any ideas?
My cat was diagnosed with degenerative joint disease in April and I’ve been giving her 200 mg of glucosamine every day since then (Pet Naturals of Vermont hip + joint chews) when I first started giving them to her she stopped limping and seemed to be back to her old self. But she’s starting to show symptoms again. She’s not limping but whenever she sits she holds her paw off the ground. Can I give her 500mg a day? Does what I’m giving her now help with pain? If not what can I give her?
my dog is a senior Chihuahua and he has problems with one of his joints in his leg and he was walking funny yesterday so should I buy some joint supplements? Thanks
What brand of supplement is the best for joint? All i know is petnc. Can it be given to 1 yr old dog even without joint problems? Im not so sure if she has patellar luxation
Can you recommend a joint supplement for my senior dog? There are so many to choose from. He’s a 13 year old chiweenie. Half dachshund and half chihuahua. He is 6 pounds and he’s seems to be getting really stiff and has arthritis. I’m hoping that some glucosamine or joint supplements may help. Something I should try that is available in Canada or on Amazon. Thanks
