We went to look at a daschund puppy today and the mum has both ears completely bald. The breeder said that the hair has fallen out since she’s been pregnant. The bitch is three years old. I’m worried it could be pinnal alopecia. I have already paid deposit for the pup should I go ahead with buying the pup or not.
My male Shepherd was seen last year due to sensitivity to touch on spine, stiffness, and abnormal walking. No X-ray just told it was arthritis. An anti inflammatory was prescribed and has worked. Now he is suddenly much worse completely stiff almost always, short walks exhaust him, increased sensitivity, constant licking of all legs. His vet said it’s just arthritis flare up. What could it be and what should I do?
We adopted 2 brothers and 1 sister. All of them from the same litter. When Marley (one of the boys he is the black and white one. His brother is the white one) is getting ready to go to sleep and he curls up next to his brother. He will suck on his brother's neck or his ear. We want to have him stop. We think he's old enough not to be sucking on things. We adopted them when they were 8 weeks old. What are ways to be able to get him to stop?
Hello. I'm getting a new puppy in a week or so. He is a corso pit mix. I've done my research on the quality puppy food I plan to start him out on and then transition into a high quality dehydrated food once he matures. What I haven't been able to find is what NOT to feed him. I think someone said that this breed was prone to ear infections from chicken or something like that but I can't find anything on it. Any helpful advice on what to avoid would be appreciated. Thanks.
We recently adopted a 2 yr old rescue 7 days ago, within the first 24 hours we took him to the ER for a cough. 3 days later his culture came back and he has mycoplasma. We started him on antibiotics right away. My other dog is 5 years old and in generally good health. My concern is how likely is it that my older dog will get mycoplasma now? Our house is not very big and the two dogs have had interaction this week. Is this a 100% chance he'll get it or are there other factors why maybe he wont?
My dog is red around his mouth. It’s come up in the last 24 hours and he definitely hasn’t eaten anything red. Should I be worried?
