A dog lifting harness is perfect for pets who are recovering from surgery as well as older dogs who can still get around but find it tricky to climb stairs or get into the car. Using the support sling or convenient carrying handles, you can lift your dog without putting painful pressure on their joints.
The best dog lift harness will be one that is comfortable, secure, and easy to use. It should fit your dog securely without being overly restrictive. Additionally, look for a dog lift harness with adjustable straps and padding, as this can help provide extra support and comfort. Finally, make sure the harness is made of durable material and can tolerate wear and tear.
When lifting a dog with arthritis, it's important to use a lift harness designed specifically for this purpose. Dog lift harnesses will provide extra support and help reduce the strain on your dog's joints. You should use slow, gentle movements when lifting your dog. Be sure to consult with your veterinarian to get advice on how to best care for your dog's arthritis.
Dog lift harnesses are specially designed harnesses that help make it easier to lift and maneuver dogs with mobility issues such as arthritis. These harnesses provide extra support and padding to help reduce strain on the dog’s joints. They come in various sizes and can be adjustable, allowing them to fit snugly around your dog without being restrictive.

My dog is old now and has hip issues that require we help her up. I'm looking into harnesses to make both our lives easier but am not sure which style would be more comfortable and less damaging. I can only get a few styles in my country (attaching pics) and they all look painful to me. Which of these would be best? Or would any or none be a good choice? Would one wrapping around her legs be better than one wrapping around her belly? Thanks!
Hai Doctor Davis ! I came across this thing called walking wheel chair for dogs. Pictures are attached below. Should I buy the lifting aid or the wheel chair?which one is to be used for toby?
My German shepherd came home from the vet today and she can't walk or even stand on her own still and I can hardly lift half of her body and the only help I'll have is my grandmother, is there anything we can do that will make it easier to move her? (We're doing the combo of a harness and a towel but it feels like it's honestly not helping or making it any easier.)
we have a 20 pound rat terrier mix in excellent health, not overweight. She is 11 yrs old and we were trying to fin d a carrier like a backpack to put her in for our long walks, when she gets tired. There are so many to choose from. I like the ones that we strap on the front of the human, and her legs stick out at the top and bottom just like a real baby. However I am concerned that the position might put too much pressure on her back end. What can you recommend?
My dog has spondylosis. What can i do to help her besides pills. Could a wheelchair help her?
Hai Dr.Davis! Heartfelt thanks to you for the help and support that you are giving us. As you said, we made toby stand by using a towel. He could not place his legs properly on the floor. But we helped and made him sit and stand for about 5 minutes and walk slowly in this manner. Our vet talled us that his right leg has been affected. Picture depicts his right and left side. Dr,which model of help em harness can be used?Your words means alot for us and our little brother toby-the chocopie boy:)
8 year old Border Collie who had ACL repair Feb 8th. She has reinsured the leg and also injured the other leg and now won't walk. What are the options for her? Dog wheelchair?
14 plus year old female dog about 40 lbs is losing muscle in hind legs and having increasing difficulty standing and walking although she still can. I notice amazon sells rear led braces. Should we try those? Or is there something else you recommend. She takes gabapentin and canna-pet for pain.
We got a front hook harness for her, will it be ok?
We just found out that our 11 year old has stenosis. Not much to do be keep him comfortable. He has trouble with steps, getting up after laying down. Because it is different than arthritis, I do not want to create anymore pain for him then necessary. Would you recommend a harness and what type? He is 65 lbs, looks more golden but is a shepherd/golden mix. Thank you!
My miniature dachshund is almost 5 months old and we currently walk him with a collar and lead- which would be better - a collar or harness? I know this breed can have back problems so just wanted an experts opinion.
I took my 9yearold dog to the vet yesterday because he woke up not being able to use his hind legs the seen no abnormalities in his xrays he can still wag his tail just can’t not stand on his hind legs he will move them some while he is laying down I can not afford 4500/5500 for the specialist at this time he does not seem to be in pain he is his happy playful self would getting him a wheelchair until I can afford the specialist help and be ok and I of course keep a close eye on him
