The Up & About Lifter is the perfect solution for an aging dog who can still get around, but finds is harder than it used to be to climb stairs or get into the car. The thickly padded chest section and adjustable straps on both the top and bottom ensure comfort, and the handle allows you to help when it's needed without prohibiting your dog's movement.

Have used this with several of my furkids as they get older. Works for me even though I am short (5'3"). BUT wish you had a boy version with a bigger cut out. Girls didn't have an issue but boys can get messy

Our beloved 13 year old mixed breed 70 pound dog suddenly diagnosed with a bone tumor and unable to put weight on front left leg. This lift has been a great help in getting him up and down a few stairs to potty and to get out for short walks as we adjust to his limits. Thank you!

Our 12 year old Border Collie has shoulder/back issue and needs assist in walking. This lift works excellent. Take it slow when you first use it and dog will begin to trust it and let you "know" when he needs to pause, "take a break", sniff, or just lie down and look around!

I purchased this to reduce the strain on my back from having to assist my border collie using a standard harness that doesn't have the extended handle. Unfortunately, the way this handle is attached, combined with the one-size-fits-all design, makes it nearly unusable for us. As his is not a breed with a large chest, I have to pull the front velcro straps as tight as they will go, which then causes the handle to start pulling the strap apart when I pull up on it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

This product is for large dogs 50-90 pounds. Well made and does the job.

The Up & About Lifter is the perfect assist for our 17 yr old Husky. She cant do stairs solo any longer & this product is strong enough to hold her up, yet comfortable enough for her to wear it for a couple hours while changing rooms @ home. Good tool for walks also, she trips sometimes. I use mine daily and it has lasted about 6 months before replacement / small tears, you could also sew edges after it wears. (60# dog).

Our vet suggested this harness as our dog is an elder dog and is having problems with his legs giving out on him, tripping and trouble with stairs. It's a very nice harness but I wish it didn't have such a "one size fits all" mentality. There is a huge difference between a 40 or 50 lb dog and a 80 to 90 lb dog. Our dog is about 55 lbs which makes this harness a bit too big, the velcro barely connects. Also the handles are a bit short. We use this to help him walk because of the tripping problem but my husband is 6' tall and the straps are not long enough for him to walk without being stooped over.
