Bone Dry

Dog was chewing on a cooked beef bone. Looks like he chewed some up and it crumbled. He had hard dry poop this morning now diarrhea.

My 14 year old golden retriever ate a good bit, 4 inches perhaps, of steak bone, three days ago. Now with some diarrhea, and I have not noticed any normal bowel movements. Got me up twice last night to let him out, which he never does. I have cut back on his dry food somewhat. He has plenty of water. We have walked two miles every day. How likely is it that the bone has caused bowel obstruction? Anything I can do at home that might help?

Before i start special diet, Is their a test for IBD in dogs? October 12 Kyro ate a bone off street. Intially Kyro had vomiting & diaherrea. October 14, Not my regular Vet prescribed antibiotic & Pepcid. X ray showed piece of bone in stomach. Lately some stool is formed & some not , diaherrea. Haven't done 2nd x ray. Half My kitten's tail fell off and a bit of bone is exposed. it got broken somehow (we rescued him off the streets) and neurotic tissue formed but we don't know if we should keep it wrapped like we do. Should we have a vet saw down the bone or chop the tail off completely? There isn't any skin forming over the bone.
