Great for bearded dragons
It works great, and it keeps my lizard hot.

Perfect for my turtle

Will this black dome hood work with a 72 watt halogen bulb?
- Thank you for your question. The Zilla Black Dome Lamp in 8.5" is designed to be used with bulbs of up to 150 watts. The 5.5" dome is rated for up to 60 watts. Can this 8.5 inch dome be used with a Zilla tropical fluorescent UVA/UVB coil bulb over an aquarium? If yes, can it sit on a glass cover or would it need to be suspended over the aquarium with a stand?
- Yes but the UV isn't going to penetrate a glass top, you need a screen top and to suspend it a bit above otherwise the bulb will be touching the top and the life if the bulb will be reduced. Hope that helps.

I purchased a ceramic heat emitter bulb and bought your 8.5" dome. The bulb box stated to use only with a porcelian base, and the dome said it's a ceramic base. Assuming this is safe and the same? Please confirm. Thank you!
- Yes, the included socket is ceramic and heat resistant. You can use this for your bulb.

does the lamp produce light and heat of only heat?
- This is just a reflector dome with a fitting for a heat lamp, you'll need to get a separate light bulb for this to work. A reflector dome will help to focus the heat and light of the bulb and reduce blinding/glare for the surrounding outside the tank.

- There is no reason to think it would not be compatible as long as wattage is equal to or lower than the fixture is rated for. It is a light bulb.
