My dog is a maltese/poodle and about 6 yrs. old. He was a rescue from PetCo. We are not active people being in our 70's and have med. conditions but he sometimes gets a run but usually a mild walk. He has been chewing at his front legs to where they are discolored. At his last grooming his eyes became irritated from the eyebrows being shaved too close and he kept rubbing them so I washed them with a boric acid solution made for humans. They seem better but still have the hard gunk on the edges.
Hendrix has a small collar sore. I washed it yesterday with medicated dog shampoo (antibacterial + antifungal) and then I put a thin layer A & D ointment on it. I did the same today. Is there anything else I can use to help heal it?. He’s in not in pain or doesn’t wince when I touch it or cleanse it. just reposting to add pictures Also I have goodwinol ointment. Btw the black thing is his leash just to coax him in the tub, it didn’t touch his sore but he’s collarless
I gave my dog Frontliine, topical treatment for fleas a week ago today. Still has fleas, can I give him a bath using flea shampoo?

I have a Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix. He is 2 years old and my husband and I have had him for a little over a year. He is on a grain-free dog food and treats due to allergies and we have to clean his ears about once per week or else he will be shaking his head because his ears are bothering him. Lately he has been chewing on certain areas. We have washed him with an anti itch shampoo that has helped some. Any more suggestions on what we could try???

Please help!!!!! I have a small dog who has mange. I don't know which type, but I tried to soak him with Borax and Peroxide daily. It doesn't seem to doing anything, except making him throw up. He does have hair loss, itching, places under arm pits and his belly that has black thick spots. I have not seen or been around mange to understand what the difference between the two types. I need help because I don't want to lose him to this life condition. I am on a very tight fixed income.
My Australian shepherd puppy who is 7 weeks old keeps itching. I gave him a flea bath and took out all the fleas. When I got him he had dandruff all over him. So yesterday I gave him a flea bath. He came with his medical records, he has had his puppy shots and dewormed twice. So I'm trying to figure out the problem here. I researched and it said it could be skin allergies or lice. And I want to know what it is and how much it will cost at the vet. Thanks!
