This "snuffle mat" is perfect for my pupper! He has been investigating and (we call it) "vacuuming" for about 20 minutes! He is rather thorough, too! I smeared a small bit of canned food under a few of the panels and secured it by the suction cups to the kitchen floor - super easy! He really seems to enjoy searching for the food that he knows is there, but he has to put in a small amount of work to get it... it's good nose work!

This is a neat little puzzle feeder - the flaps are an interesting take on it and the little ridges to help keep food there are a nice touch. The fact that it's silicone so it's easy to wash is also a plus, although I haven't used it with wet food yet to see how much of a mess it makes or how difficult it is to get clean. I actually used this with my kitty to make him use his brain for treats and he was pretty successful in figuring it out even for an intro to a puzzle mat. He spent so much time moving around, using his paws, and biting at the flaps trying to parse out how to get the food that I couldn't get a single clear photo of him working at it.

Interesting design, so I figured I would try it out. My dog loves food/treat toys and puzzles but this one is different than anything else we have. His usual toys work well for hard kibble/treats, but this one will be good for soft or sticky foods like peanut butter or yogurt. It is made of soft silicone so it rolls up nicely for storage or travel and it will be easy to clean.

I received this product for free from the Spotted by Petco sampling program in exchange for my honest review. At first I thought this puzzle mat was weird looking and that it would be difficult to use it, but I was pleasantly surprised! The size is probably best for a small to medium sized dog. Large dogs can still use it, I have a 75lb shepherd mix for reference. The suction cups hold well to smooth surfaces. The added bungee cord is also very handy. The material is silicone and I only use food grade silicone or glass bowls to feed my dog. What I initially thought was a weird design, turned out to be a very unique one. I found that “wet food” or something semi solid works best for this puzzle mat. I was able to stuff it and freeze it for an extra challenge: my dog was able to figure it out pretty quickly and was able to get all the food out pretty easily. But now that I have the hang of using it, I think it could be a very fun puzzle feeder if you put your creativity to work!

This is a great, compact puzzle that I'm able to bring with me anywhere. My dog seemed to enjoy it and had to work a little bit to get the treats. I like the loop with the clip so I can hang it from a doorknob or use the suction cups to stick it to my tile floor.

I have a few different snuffle mats for my girl, but this is the first made of silicone! It's smaller, so I pictured using it more on the go then for daily treats. However, it has a benefit I never considered before… the option to use peanut butter or other soft/wet types of food and treats with it! It wipes and rinses clean easily, and has suction points on the back to keep it from sliding around on a hard surface.

This is a great way to give your dog treats in an effort to stay busy! I have a mini aussie and a always looking for ways to mentally stimulate her, and this does it. She is so busy trying to get the treat that it keeps her occupied.
