Questions
Love this tank! I've had it for 3 years now and still one of my favorite pieces. I just moved recently and lost the cord that attaches to the LED lights. What is the name of the cord/plug-in so I can buy a new one?
- Here is the info from mine: A37D Central Garden & Pet Class 2 Power Strip Model CA1200900H Input 120V 60 hz Output DC 120 V 0.5A I hope this helps. All the info I could find.

I've seen a lot of recent reviews saying it leaks within a year, I also see the company did respond to them. My question is can anyone tell me how these were resolved and what the company's customers service is like to work with? im considering this tank
- Hi there! We'd be more than happy to answer any direct questions you have regarding our tanks. Please contact us at 1-888-255-4527.

What cord goes to the light? Mine was missing the cord and I wanted to purchase one
- Hey there! Please contact our Warranty/Tech department by calling 1-888-255-4527 and ask for either Warranty or Tech Support. They can get you a replacement cord (transformer).

Do they sell a stand specifically for this size tank?
- Not that I know if.

Would the filter be too strong for a betta? I'm worried about fins catching in the filter. Also, should I replace the substrate with gravel?
- Not at all, the filtration is meant for dwarf shrimp which are small and fragile. I only keep female and male plakat bettas so I can't provide input for long-finned females or males, but I assume it would be. Just remember to change the filter media out for sponge/foam or ceramic. Carbon is an expensive money-grab. It removes required minerals that both plants and inverts need to thrive. Also, this substrate is good for most plants, especially root-feeders like swords, but it isn't nutrient-rich so be sure to add fertilizers. Easy Green is best for low-light, low-tech tanks. Root tabs might be required for heavy root feeders again, like swords. Because this tank is small be sure to remember weekly water changes. 10-15% for light, 25-50% for moderate, 50-90% for heavy stock. You can also use my favorite aquarium stocking calculator, Aqadvisor, to calculate how stocked your tank is, how big of a water change is best and how many animals you can have in the tank. Good luck ;)

Is the LED light the right wavelengths for freshwater plants?
- It's suitable for low light, non-demanding plants like anubias, java fern, mosses and several others but not medium to high light or CO2 required plants. Unfortunately I lost my PAR meter so I can't tell you how much light your plants will get. All I know is I've grown frogbit, mosses, anubias, windelov java fern, s. repens, buces and crypts for quite awhile. I use Easy Green fertilizer weekly and prefer supplemental lighting :)

I got the tank. How do you feed your shrimp and fish except through the back opening for filter?
- I just pick the lid up. Looks like there's a punch out on the top of the lid but I didn't want to mess with that. Soo, I just lift the lid.

I am interested in buying this tank for a Betta fish and possibly a snail at some point. This would be my very first tank. What seperate filter would be better than the one included? And is the glass strong? I am VERY paranoid about leaks.
- Since it’s so small, the filter is fine—especially for a betta. If you wanted Something different, you could getA hang-on-back like an aquaclear but it’s not necessary. Just stay on top of water changes. The glass is ok too.

Hey their! I am really wanting to upgrade my betta nemo. Will this tank be okay for the betta? I will add a heater and i love aqueon filters for bettas! also is thier room for say a top fin 5 gallon heater?
- This tank would work great. All you need to do is baffle the filter so your betta isn't pushed around by the current and it's perfect

Is the 7.5 LED Shrimp Aquarium suitable for a couple of Glofish Tetra fish? Will the QuietFlow Internal Filter be powerful enough or do I need to upgrade?
- Hi there! Yes, that would be great for a couple of GloFish!
