My puppy was diagnosed with parvo on Monday. He was injected at the vet and I’ve been giving him medicine from the vet at home. After a hectic week, he’s finally starting to improve significantly. Since he still can’t eat, the vet gave me nutri cal and said I can rub it on his gums. Can the mucous membranes in the gums absorb nutri cal? I don’t wanna be putting it on his gums for no reason

Helloo... My pet is in sick and have loose motion from yesterday.. today morning I gave OFLOKEM OZ. Syrup 5ml. Is that okay..? Wen should I give that..? Before meal or after meal..? Pls rep

I am currently giving peaches cuttle fish bone power, in addition with the cuttle fish bone power is it o.k. to give her clay cal from higgins also, or egg food, egg food has suger in it is it safe to give to peaches? what is the best egg food for peaches?

I have a 1.3 pound 4 week old puppy who was diagnosed with parvo today & coccidia. We got sent home with toltrazuril and nutri-cal. I was told there's nothing the vet can do that I can't do at home. I'm really worried, I'd think that a vet could provide some care that Icouldn't. Is hospitalization a better option? Does my puppy stand a better chance being hospitalized?

My dog loves carrots, & my family loves to feed her carrots. I know raw carrots can be tough on a dog’s digestion and I have noticed tummy issues in the last few days. I put her on a soft rice diet, but I still notice orange bits in her poop. How much is too many carrots? We give 1-3 nickel size pieces almost every day. What are other low cal healthy treats?

I have 2 litters of 10 week old pups. Miniature Pinscher & Boxers. All of the pups were doing fine & playing & the next morning 3 of the Min Pins were lethargic, wouldn't open their eyes, passing dark bloody stool and couldn't walk without falling over. The smallest pup died that evening. I gave them Vita-Cal Puppy & Pediatric oral electrolyte soloution all day & night. The next day they're eating but still wobbly. Could this have been caused by the Boxers laying on them?

Sister cats to the vet.both have low K/potass. Resuce cats. 8 years old. Also, one was having severely low Folic Acid one month ago also. The vet was bad and I found it myself. Now the Vet gave another great treatment to increase the potassium w B vitamins, but has no FolicA. I have a HUMAN folic acid with me with fillers. Can the cat have human fillers? cal carbonate? microcrystaline cellulose? clumping? Magnes. salt? silicon dioxide? Folate? (pteryoylmonoglutamin) PLEASE ADVISE ..OKAY 4 CAT?

Does a large breed pup (Labrador in this case) necessarily need to be fed specifically large breed puppy food; or would a puppy food that is complete and balanced for large breed puppies and all life stages be okay? Cal and Pho is the same as the large breed specific food. Please see specific food I’m inquiring about in the photos. Is this a good choice for a Labrador or should I stick to Large breed specific only (I.e. Purina One for Large Breed puppies) once this bag of is finished.

i have a three year old lovebird named peaches. I have read conflicting internet articles, cuttlefishbone will kill her. that it is not good for lovebirds. I give her cuttlefishbond power everyday, but when she lays her infertile eggs i give her clay cal is that ok? After she finishes laying her eggs i swtich her back to cuttlefishbone power. if she lays eggs every month or every two months will that make her a chronic egg layer? Does resporatory diease have early symptoms, if so what are they?

My female cavalier weighs 17.7 pounds and I'm not sure if this is too much weight for her. She does have a noticeable uptuck and a narrowing of the waist but she has some fatty rolls at the top of her neck that are only noticed when she is clipped. She is only eating 335 calories per day. (30 calories from treats, 20 cal from supplements) should I be using kibble as treats instead? She is only on 2/3 cup of quality kibble per day. The calories of the kibble range from 393-414 calories per cup.

i have a 4 1/2 yr old female Australian Kelpie. i feed her premium dog food that will take her two days to eat,, she does not like it and i have tried them all. she doesnt get proper exercise because she pulls me off my feet and has broken my shoulder / arm and hip. what can i feed her low cal and home made so we can get rid of some weight, i know she is over 50lbs p.s i dont know to get photos from my phone to this form

I have a cat actually that is street cat and I think he is really sick and i want to help him but i dont have money I observed that his mouth is really swollen and it has a really bad smell,and I think even tho he’s really in pain he wants to leave bec he is eating but not much maybe bec its hard for him to eat bec of his condition I REALLY HOPE YOU CAN HELP ME I really want to help him but I don’t know how and im scared to touch him bec im scared that i can hurt him pls rep as soon as possible
