Health & WellbeingCan you feed a dog human vitamins? Someone at a clinic here in Egypt recommended we give him omega 3 and vita stress tablets. Also - if we use frontline spray for our dog and bathe him every two weeks, should we reapply after baths?
Some supplements, such as omega-3 fish oils can be given from human supplements, however the dosage would need to be changed to a pet dosage to avoid giving too much. I would be wary of giving a human supplement as it may be formulated in the wrong doses or have other ingredients in it that could be toxic or harmful to your dog. If your vet has recommended a specific one to use, I would follow their instructions completely to avoid any complications, and have your vet monitor progress. Frontline spray should be reapplied every 30 days. I would also not be bathing your dog that often (every 2 weeks) as it may strip the skin of natural oils and lead to dry skin and irritation. If Cosmo is getting dirty in between bathing, a pet or baby wipe can be used to remove any dirt.
