Satisfying buy

Shipped promptly, unbroken, works well so far... I like the rosy tint in a plant enhancing bulb (previously I used a "6700 daylight" bulb that was far too white/bright, making my fish timid and looking to hide somewhere.). PETCO is great.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great 5 star light, but 1 star shipping. 5 bulbs shipped in a huge box. The bulbs were half out of their separate boxes bouncing against each other. I switch out lights every year and dont need these right away and not sure if they are OK.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I didn't realize these bulbs were pink. They're suppose to be beneficial to my planted tank, but they're so dim, it barely gives a pink hue to my tank. I don't understand how such dim light can be feeding my plants. I have to add another lamp of white bulbs just to see what's in my tank. Attached is a photo which shows my tank with a second white bulb lamp. My water is slightly tinted already from tannin in my log. The other pic is with only the brand new ZooMed pink bulbs.

No, I do not recommend this product.

will a flourescent bulb for aquarium plant growth fit any hood with a flouresent bult?

  1. Besides ensuring the same length, you have to make sure the new bulbs are the same watt as the lamp was made to carry. You cannot put a higher watt bulb into a lamp that is meant for lower watts.
